Are you loading "regular" campaigns or Kaiserreich scenario?
None of the vanilla campaigns or scenarios were changed. You must load Kaiserreich "scenario" - you will find it among battlescenarios (Coral sea, Barbarossa, Ardennes, Fall Blau, etc.)

But that was essentially what happened in real life. The French generals prepared to fight another war of attrition (defensively this time) and hope to prevail.

The 1936 scenario was relabled "Kaisserreich" so I loaded that.

Yeah but they won through doing that in real life... In this timeline they lost, so like Germany IRL they'd look for doctinal changes.

I give up.
The mod appears to be unplayable for me.
At least three files are bugged (one about a treaty, the other about province mods and the third is Belgium's AI) and I know for a fact everything worked fine in the Alpha.
Help please?

Just wondering but, why does France have so many garrisons and militia.

Hmmm - what is the precise problem with these files?
(eg. error messages on loadup, bugged in-game behaviour, etc...)

I definitely have made any recent changes to Belgium's AI, so I'm not sure what could be going wrong there...

One of those "Abort Retry Ignore" messages when loading.
The first file had a mistake in which apparently "Cancel = no" didn't work in a treaty, so I got rid of that.
The province mods thing had something wrong in line 1453 (found with notepad2) about some forts in some province (the first one for the West Wall I believe) which didn't work if I did anything short of getting rid of the province mods.
Belgium's AI also appeared to be bugged, but I didn't even bother trying to find the mistake.

True, my point was that the French were bled white historically though... and that didn't really lead them to change their style of thinking doctrinally, save going from an offensive posture to a defensive one.

Right, but that was pretty much under the same government. This is a new, revolutionary government.

Much like I said, the defeated Germany wasn't exactly light on casualties during the Great War and they looked for doctrinal changes for how to win 'the next war'. They had a very open system of suggestions for ideas both tactical and strategic from officers iirc, I imagine a revolutionary Syndicalist France could be big on encouraging it's officers to think- if it's a fairly open revolutionary state that is...

The Great Purge

I went through all russian commanders with notepad (copy, paste, find, check... :wacko: ) and identified the real clones and some similiar names/stats. This should leave next update clone-free unless I've made some horrible mistakes, which would be most unfortunate after all these hours of work!

Hopefully someone "in charge" would take a look at these commanders and delete another one (some stats may be different!). Second section includes commanders with same name and possibly similiar stats and someone should take a second look on them.

in most (all, perhaps) cases, the <name><initial> leaders are actually individual leaders, but the ones without the initials are probably unnecessary duplicates (seeing as they don't have the initial to differentiate them, so someone slipped up either with initials or didn't notice that the guy was already in)

/edit: here would be a good site to check if leaders existed or not
