He Sarmatia do you need more pics of some prussian princes? Well I found one of Louis-Ferdinand! Maybe the pic is to bourogoise!?

Anyway I found a new minister for the AOG!

Ruppert Gerngroß was born, as a son of a professor, in 1915 in China. He studied Law and was a translator in a reserve company in WWII. But he roused to fame on the 29th April 1945 when he and his followers rise up against the Nazis in Munich! Sadly the uprising was swiftly quashed! After the war he became a lawyer!
So maybe in the kaiserreich timeline he stayed in China and thus could be a minister of the AOG! But I think some years later since by 1936 he would be just 21 years old! :D

So he could be a minister for security (Silent Lawyer) or maybe a Foreign Minister (Great Compromiser or something else)

P.S. Do you need more Info on the Sonderbrigade or the website and thus the book itself?

Actually, when you find these Japanese Imperial tech teams and ministers, can you delete them from the vanilla Japanese files and send both sets to me? This saves me having to hunt them down afterwards, which is a bit of a waste of time if its already been done!

Hmmm, I must age the .eug file? I'm trying out some options, but there definitely should be some route around this!

Include the vanilla .eug files but make a 'save' to them (making no changes by the end of it) AFTER your kaisserreich scenario. Standard vanilla files will be replaced by standard vanilla files (but with a later date stamp)

Yes it bumps up download size, but you get Kaiserreich at top of list. :D

Very good! I (almost!) forgot about Louis Ferdinand, and Ruppert Gerngroß should certainly be useful.

I've got about all the information I need from the Kaisertag website, but any ideas or events of how to actually use the Sonderbrigade in the mod would be great!

I just have to ask, will there be landbattleships in the next version?

and as a bribe I offer this picture of the planned French FCM F1

Excellent - I haven't been able to find any plausible Czech rightists anywhere!

Well there are very easily some people we aren't familiar with who worked their way up through the ranks in this version of history.

;)

Ah the Sonderbrigade! Well they are a the elite soldiers that Kaiserreich Germany could offer! Specialising in kidnapping, sabotage and other covered operations, sort of special orps typ! Instead of the old tactics favoured by the army, the constantly try out new tactics. Thats why the old guard dislikes them so much. In this timeline Guderian an Manstein would have much support in the Sonderbrigade!
Also they guard some very special "facilities" in the Reich! :D
So to somes it up the sonderbrigade are the best of the best! In game terms I suggest making them a brigade and maybe some events involving them, such like rescue missions or assassination could also be included!

:D - I especially like the silouhetted French stereotype (complete with cravatte and beret) standing next to it!

Anyway, I have delegated all of the tank and tech-work to whoever is interested, so if they are designed by then, they will.

Yes, I was going to put Otto Skorzeny in charge of them (despite his Austrian-ness...), and will try to work them into some events once I started making the German ones!

Yes, also Manchuria was established more as a 'national-state' for Manchurian Chinese (under Japanese dominance), while the Qing Empire was an actual Chinese Imperial dynasty, with an elite originally consisting of Manchu invaders, who became increasingly Sinicized over the years (I'm not sure if there were a great number of ethnic Manchus around anywhere by the 1930s...?).

So, similar-ish backgrounds, but very different histories and political structures (possibly best to think of it a bit like North and South Korea -> Both Korean states, but under different political systems/international spheres)

If this is the case, then I say that Pu-Yi would definately still be the Qing Emperor. In real life, he was still on the throne in the Forbidden Palace until anti-Manchu and anti-qing elements kicked him out.

If anti-Manchu sentiment is still pervasive in the Han Chinese, the Qing Empire should collapse as it did historically (perhaps replaced with a new Han Chinese dynasty). If the Qing will survive in this scenario, then so will the idea of a Manchu emperor, and so will Pu-Yi. Pu-Yi *was* the legitimate heir of Qing China, and this was why he was the ideal candidate for Japan's puppet Manchukuo.

As an alternative leader for nation-state Manchuria, I recommend looking to the warlords:

zuolin2lc.png

Zhang Zuolin

Zhang Zuolin actually cooperated with the Japanese a good bit--Japan was for a significant period his patron and entertained hopes that he would be the one to unify China for them. But some issues came up with Chiang Kai-shek's Northern Expedition against Mao; Japan got paranoid and ordered Zhang to relocate his army. He actually was in the process of obeying Japan, but the Japanese suddenly deemed him untrustworthy and had his train blown up in 1928.

zhang22mm.jpg

Zhang Xueliang

Zhang Xueliang's cooperation with Japan was a bit more tenous than his father's. He's actually already a Nationalist Chinese minister/leader in the vanilla game, and he gets slept when he coordinates the Xi'an Incident (trying to stop Chiang from fighting the Communists so China can be unified against the Japanese threat, the same threat that ousted him from Manchuria and created Manchukuo).

It would certainly be ironic if you made it so that Pu-Yi was the Emperor of free China and Zhang Xueliang was the leader of a puppet Manchuria! :D

But, almost sadly, the better candidate would probably be his father.

Cool - many thanks! Manchuria may actually be gotten rid of as a starting state (although remain as a possible revolter), in line with the new Japanese setup. In which case Pu-Yi will definitely be back in charge of China!

That way, we get a new Chinese minister in the guy I'm currently using for the Emperor, and these two warlords you've suggested can be Qing ministers/leaders as well.

Uhm, should Bengal's industrialization program really increase Free Market?
No, it shouldn´t, but this slider change simply means: "Free market-planned economy slider takes one/two steps to the right", which is towards planned economy.

I would try it out first. It may or may not work. I am assuming that it will work PROVIDING it is based on the date stamp (if it is, it should work as I say).

Tojo is the only one who needs to be removed from the Japanese tech file, but I can of course do it myself.

Just a few questions (I'm sketching on the swedish-finnish tensions-and-possible-war scenario)

Who would be more likely to intervene in Scandinavia? The UoB or CoF? (or should I assume they'll be allies)

I was thinking that (If Sweden is LWR/LN/ST or SD) the Syndicalists get a chance to intervene of the entire thing goes to war. (as well as simply support materials) while Germany gets to support Finland (or chose between supporting either side if Sweden is right-wing) (I guess Russia should get a chance to intervene as well ho hum, lots of possibilities)

I was mostly thinking of when a good time for the event-chain to start would be, and whether or not I should pull the UoB, CoF or both in on the Syndicalist side in case it evolves into a Syndicalist Vs. German war (Of course it could also evolve into a Russia vs. Germany War....)
