Yes, a "Nordic Socialist" power block sounds like an intresting possiblity... I will take that into consideration when I get to work with the events.

A few things (though I am sure you are aware of most of them).
There is a japanese army in one of the German Chinese coastal cities; dont think its meant to be there.
The German tech team 'Herman Goering' should be in Mittelafrika methinks (as should the german leader goering - though I reckon you havent looked at the german leader file yet).
I dont know if you have done it already in one of your posts but can you give a rundown on 'descriptions' of all the new ideologies and what each mean (I am trying to get a feel of the relationship between them)

Gen.Schuermann said:Oh, and plz, correct the german Names for some nations. You got the most of them right, but others are english or not fitting at all (i.e. the countries in the urals, which still are english, need translation help? Then you've got the third indian country, which for me shows up as North Korea ) Other than that, it sure looks cool and promising.
Remember to make germany's belongings cores, like torun and so on! Me likes the Münster picture, very nice
PLease go on and upload new stuff as soon as possible, a weekly update at this rate of work would be appropiate in my eyes!
....
Oh, and before i forget, what's up with the SPD partition event? is this really going to happen? germany get's devided into small pieces? please tell what you intend with that!
EDIT1: thx for mentioning me in the readme *bows down*
EDIT2: Is the US's capital supposed to be in Miami?
Berlichingen said:Its apart of my grander philosphy of the naval warfare in the game, I'm counting on most all the nations having ageing fleets, this will provide dilemmas for players and ensure that Germany will have, at the beginning, naval dominance over, in essence, the entire world.
Germany as I see it is has hedgemony over most of the world directly or indirectly but in their seat of unchallenged power they've grown lazy, divided and corrupt and their empire is crumbling, wearing and chipping away intill it comes crashing down.
Thats my take on it at least.
-----------
Also, ayeshanti, another things I've missed, since the mod is unplayable its not essential, but I'll add it to my list of things to do.
Also, if you want Sarmatian I can begin composing list of names of ships that can be assigned to ships the player builds. At the current setting we're going to get alot of repeats, especially for Germany, or stuff that makes no sense, like union of britian getting King George V, doubt they'd take a liking to that.
That'll be on the back burner till everybody gets new OOBs for naval stuff, but just a thought.
To do list:
- Clean up Royalist and Socialist British Fleets
- Clean up Ottoman, Bulgarian and Egyptian Fleets
- Start Work on Mittelafrika, Siam, and other German puppet fleets.
- Start work on USA, Japan, Russian fleets
- Double-check OOBs for balance and bugs
- Start work on all the minor fleets everywhere from Sweden to Netherlands to Romania, etc, etc, etc

CCurio said:You know, you actually made me stop and think what Kosola would be called...
Prime minister just isn't suitable for any proper national populist leader... Finland never had any chancelors in real life but I'd imagine that there could as well be one in a more german system. "Kansleri" is a pretty direct translation of "chancelor". Other option could be "Valtionhoitaja" which could be translated into "state caretaker"...
Nice that you like the idea, I figured that in a situation like that a mere computer-driven annexation just isn't enough...
I was actually thinking of making the Britian a bit sneaky, mostly offering Trade, Friendship and Co-operation (plus smugling hefty amounts of syndicalist literature....) but I'd imagine that more agressive demands could also be an option...
Arilou said:Is "Valtionhoitaja" the finnish equivalent of "Riksföreståndare"? 'cuz that would be a decent title for a dictatorial swedish leader too.

EDIT:
Just doing some research on the swedish left....
SAC, the swedish syndicalist movement.... It was founded 1910 so it's founding wouldn't be affected by the timeline change at least.... One of the problems with finding "leading" Syndicalists is of course that they aren't really allowed to have "leading" posts in the first place...
One example is PJ Welinder (swedish-american returnee who formed a much more "militant" syndicalist organization in the late 20's/early 30's) He died in TBC 1934 though. He was the only real "Syndicalist" even close to the timeframe I could get a name for. There's a also a guy called "Rudolf Holme" that apparently pionereed some of the tactics of the Syndicalists OTL, unfortunately I couldn't find any actual dates for when he lived and died... A few "cultural personalities" with Syndicalist leanings where apparently "Stig Dagerman"
...
Communists are easier (and there's even a communist party that turned nazi OTL)

http://www.liedertafel.business.t-online.de/intro.htm
Which has downloadable mp3 versions of every song which I'd probably want to use in a German music pack (including a brilliant sung recordngs 'Die Wacht am Rhein' and 'Ich bin ein Preuße, kennt ihr meine Farben?' and ). However, I haven't been able to find anything on the site mentioning copyright restrictions - so, I've got no idea if they're allowed to be distributed further...
Could our native German speakers try and hunt this information down, as I've

Sarmatia1871 said:Many thanks! Of the ones you haven't changed: the Greater Argentina is supposed be 'La Plata' at the moment, although may need to be improved; Northern Italy is called the 'Italian Federation' in English; Southern Italy is called 'Republic of the Sicilies'; the North Korean Indian state is 'Bengal'; African France is called (at the moment) - 'National France'; and 'Don-Kuban Union' is the English name for the Cossack state north of the Caucasus.

Gen.Schuermann said:Well, i have skimmed through this, and there seems nothing to indicate that it's copyrighted. I searched the forums, but nothing of interest. And if you can download it for free and that it's available for anyone who wants it, i suppose that there is not such a thing. these songs are mostly propaganda i guess, and very very old, i suspect there is naturally no copyright, as it was with your russian soundtrack (i loved that!).
EDIT: I just found out that the songs are "hörproben", basically a try-out-version... the songs are always only partly sung, but the essential parts are in it. The parts which cannot be agreed to in the Grundgesetz are left out i believe! Still, for some songs you have to be a little careful, as they might be too nationalistic for german thinking... ask me if you are unsure...
The quality is generally nice, i recommend "Abgeschmiert aus 100 metern" this is fun as it is a little ironical/cynical...
Oh and yuo might want to include "Als die Römer frech geworden", it's a song about the varus battle, i learned it as a kid, and is very popular here. But this version is rather hilarious
other good songs might be: Fliegermarsch, Und wenn wir marschieren
EDIT: interesting find on wikipedia.de:
Which basically says that the Don-Kosakische Union cuold also be Kosakia!

Exterous said:In reguards to the transport fleet of Germany, I think they would have a large number of transport ships scattered about their empire (7-9?) since their allies are relying on the German navy for support and to move troops about their empire. As for escorts, I would think that they have a very low number. With the decline of the world power navies who is going to risk the wrath of the German navy by attacking her convoys? Their complacency and sense of security leaves them vulnerable to a new type of warfare - convoy raiding (I'm guessing that they will have "Fleet-in-Being" doctrines with maybe the French being convoy raiding?)
