Love this mod. Currently playing a game as Germany. Militarized heavy from the start, ensuring I had at least 18 or so divisions per province from Mulhouse to Ghent, took the Blitzkrieg path... I managed to defeat France in 1940. I forget the exact date, but it was April or May, I believe. The Syndies never managed to occupy an inch of German soil!
Turned France over to the Nationalists, who had accepted the Bourbon-Parma claimant as their king. England fell not too long after that. Mitteleuropa expanded to include Russia, as well as the Balkans; I invaded there after the defeat of the Syndicalists to restore the Bulgarian Kingdom. I'm currently preparing to test my modern armies in China, to liberate the Qing (they were annexed by the Japanese) and the South of China, who chose to break away from German liberation. Gott Mit Uns!
Some ideas:
- I agree that giving the Carlists cores on France is a bit much. As the nationalists can accept the Carlist king as their HoS, I'd just give cores to them. I imagine the Bourbon Kingdoms of France and Spain would probably be a lot like a loose Confederation, the two countries would share a king but have separate governments. They would probably coordinate on foreign and economic policy, though, and the militaries would probably work in conjunction. Maybe some ideas for some events like that, such as a customs union? That's how I've been roleplaying it, anyways.
- I thought there was an event chain after defeating the Union of Britain to place the Jacobite claimant, Rupprecht of Bavaria on the throne? I don't mind spliting up the Union into Scottish, Welsh, and English puppets, but I had been hoping to make the Jacobite claimant King
... maybe also an event choice to hand over Britain to Canada? (You can give National France the metropole, after all...)
- I'm unfortunately too far along to test out of the WW3 events, but I will certainly try them out later. I have been mulling over some ideas for some possible events in the 1950s or even the 1960s, if anyone would be interested. I've never written any events before, but I could learn. One idea would be a 'Suez Crisis' of sorts, if Germany continues to decline and the Egyptians want the Germans out.
- The Union of Britain seems very weak militarily. Or perhaps it was just be, but I had no problems landing a few marines and then shipping over my main armies. I mostly encountered garrisons, and I think of a grand total of 2-3 actual divisions. Granted they had sent a sizable BEF to France, but it hadn't been that excessive. I also noted that the Union of Britain likes to seize Islands. They had been at war with the Entente not long after I went to war with them, and they had seized many parts of the Caribbean Fed. Not weird, but I think they'd focus on the Germans closer to home, and make sure that threat was neutralized before sending out divisions to claim Canada.
