I have small question about KR storyline. Is AUS(American Union State) meant to be some kind of heir of CSA(Confederate States of America)? I know that new name for southern state is little confusing as Confederates were fighting the Union, but it can be also taken as some kind of new philosophy that former Confederates want to make strong southern union instead of loose confederation. I was little suprised to see that AUS doesen't inherit lands of Texas when war starts. Shouldn't Texas be more AUS oriented than being still loyal to USA? There is even event that gives USA new troops from Texas.

The AUS was mainly designed around the populist ideas of Huey Long, governor of Louisiana. Long had a populist and corporationalist program, mainly agitating against 'Big Business' and having slogans as 'Every man a king'. In real life Long was murdered before he could launch a national campaign. Strangely, for a Southener in the 30s, Long was not (openly) racist. Just google the man if you want to know more.
The names of CSA for the syndies and Union for the Southeners seems to be a joke relating to the Civil War of the earliest devellopers of Kaiserreich.

Texas was a democratic bulwark in the 30s, so them staying loyal to the states seems logical at this point in history.

Well, by that logic, so was the south, in much the same way. Perhaps one could illustrate the divide between east Texas and West Texas by having the west stay loyal and the east join the forces of evil.

Thank you for your answers. Ideas about politics in 2nd American CW are designed very well, altough I think that there should still be some of old Confederate spirit in AUS. Even today ideas about bringing back Dixie are alive in the South, why wouldn't be still presented in 1937? During game I saw event about Gone with the wind, maybe goverment of AUS could have more ideas about bringing back Old South. Texas could be splited between AUS and USA, that's good idea. I don't know why, but USA always wins the war in my game. Maybe it would be good to make AUS stronger.

Where are the Tzar proclamations, those events that gives Russia cores on their former possesions? Cuz event chain with syndie Ukraine seems to be broken (never got that "Ukraine has left Mittleeuropa), and so does partition of WeiBruthien.

Huey Longs ideas where a mix of socialism and fascism (Long faced criticism of political left and right alike), appealing to both the old Dixiecrats (state rights, southern pride, lower taxes) and the poor working class ('every man a king'). In a state of oilbarons and cattleranchers such ideas would have a lot less appeal

As for changing the ACW: I have worked on some Kaiserreich projects before. But the Kaiserreich-team has alot of changes in personnel, so their are almost none of the original designers left. The attitude towards old events like the ACW is to keep them like they are, just fixing bugs and adding flavour. You are welcome to suggest changes at the forum. Although forumactivity is currently quitte low, most people waiting for 'arsenal of democracy'.

Most interesting, thank you for explanation. I checked KR forum and it is somehow to quiet, but I think KR team is still working on project very hard. I also saw that ideas about new US CW fractions in final release were mentioned on forum. Altough everyone are waiting on AoD, final KR release will be probably perfect and will be greeted by many people.

I suggest you ask that question on the KR Forum at their invisionfree site. Otherwise you risk them missing this

Kaiserreich Update: Well the state of Kaiserreich now is such that I am currently the only one working on it, although only when RL permits. But yes we are waiting for AoD release, but then it'll be some time more until we release a new version.

Anyway I planned to release an updated version of Kaiserreich by Christmas or after it! Which will feature mostly post-war events (which by now are done). So stay tuned ...

You should stop working and take a break for two to three years. Then, please develop it on HoI3?
