I am new to the world of HOI, and I was wondering if there were installation instructions available for Kaiserreich - there are a number of links on the first (and second?) post, and I am not sure how they all interact. Apologies if this has already been covered - if it has could someone please point me in the direction....
 
Create a new folder called mods in the folder where you installed DD or Armageddon,extract KR there,download JSGME,place it in the same folder where the mods folder is located,click on it and select Kaiserreich from the available mods.Or just install the mod over vanilla,if you don't want to play vanilla.
 
Playing as the South, in the American Civil war an event fires that says part of the Navy defects to my side but it never shows up. I think the event is bugged.

In Kaiserreich, the syndicalists replace Marxism-Leninism as the dominant socialist/communist/syndicalist movement of the early/mid-20th century (if we pretend that Marxism-Leninism is a legitimate working class movement, of course). In real life terms, however, syndicalism and communism are by no means mutually exclusive. Anarcho-communism and anarcho-syndicalism tend to overlap, for example.

It had working class support. So yes, it is a working class movement, just like Syndicalism. :p
 
Sorry if this has been asked before (or if I've missed something really obvious) but whenever I start a game as Russia I'm not able to research any land doctrines. Admittedly I've only played it a few days in, but I don't want to get into a campaign only to have to restart it because of a bug. Am I waiting for an event or something?

Also, since I installed beta IV it says something like 'cuba ai missing' (or unreadable or something) and the same for a few other countries. Again, have I missed something here?

Anyway, fantastic mod, I've had hours and hours of fun so far!

I downloaded the mod in RAR form and downloaded the JSGME. How exactly do I install the mod?

Would I extract the JSGME to that same folder? Wait, how do I extract a RAR file? It seems impossible. Do I need to download a program?

I want to take the time to thank you guys for all of your time and effort into making this excellent mod. I have really enjoyed playing it. I have had the most fun playing is the Russians and the Canadians, trying to rebuild their empires is a very fun endeavor.

I also love the large amounts of warships that are in play when the big show starts between the major powers. I have loved having huge naval battles in this mod. I just finished defeating the Union of Britain as germany, as had one hell of a time sending the high seas fleet into battle against the Republican British Navy.

I have some questions however.

1. The Entente doesn't seem to have much chance against the UoB and the CoF. Canada almost always runs out of manpower and gets absorbed by a victorious CSA, Nationalist France just sits in Africa and does nothing, while Australasia, the Caribbean federation and Bengal hardly contribute much at all. Unless you actually play as them, they don't have much of a chance at victory.
2. What happened to the US navy? They hardly have any ships, at least compared to what they have in Vanilla. Was this done to imply that the US has been going broke during the 20's and 30's, and simply cannot afford to maintain a good navy?
3. Again about the US. They never seem to stand a chance against the triple front war they get involved in with the AUS, PSA, and CSA. Was this done intentially so that they would lose?
4. The Alsace or War event usually takes place in January of 1940. However, because it is winter, the CoF AI does not try to advance, causing the front to stalemate until summer, when the Mitteleuropan alliance launches its own offensive and crushes the French. Are you guys going to maybe either beef up the Commune of France or make the event fire in the summer time?

Anyway, keep up your great work!
 
It's a fact that the alliances are simply unbalanced. Let's take the IC. Entente, even treated as one country, has less industrial power than CoF or UoB. And if CSA wins the Civil War, them we're going to have one huge Son of Marx alliance, capable of devouring everything that stands in its way. I remember a game in which the Sydies fought against Italian Federation, Carlist Spain and Germany at the same time. It ended 3:0 for the Synies.

Mitteleuropean AI needs fixing. Playing as UoB, I defeated Germany with 24 divisions, located in Mulhouse. As soon as winter had ended, I pushed forward towards Munchen and Kassel, encircling over 100 German divisions in Ruhr. The French did the rest, while my armoured corps advanced towards Berlin and Tallin. I guess the Germans could suffer from their kind of "Verdun Syndrome" and be not willing to motorise their army, but even in such a case they should not be so easy to defeat. ;)

Next thing; riddiculous buildup for Japan and Manchuria. When I attacked them as Russia in 1944, for every province attacked, I had to fight against 30-50 divisions. Only Manchurian ones, the Japanese sat on their isles and waited. Is it possible to build so many up-to-date divisions with 30IC? 0_o

National France definately needs a more revanchist approach. An invasion AI triggering once CoF DoWs Germany, war with the CNT-FAI as soon as they take over Spain... It's strange that even Mittelafrika seems capable of defeating them.

And my personal favourite; Russia. Are you planning to add any events that would give Russia cores on White Ruthenia, the Baltic, the Caucasus, Manchuria or Central Asia beyond Alash Orda? It would be much more fun to restore Russia to its pre-1904 borders ;)
