First of all, great mod, really enjoyed it so far! Am playing my first campaign as France right now and having some real fun spreading Syndicalism across the world, a few questions though (sorry if they've been asked before, but I'm not going through 200 pages tonight :p):

- Firstly and most importantly, I am in a war with the Entente (Canada et al) due to a major miscalculation in regards to my India-policy and managed to finally bring some troops back to the mainland to invade National France and after some effort and air support conquer the entire Algerian coast and the line of provinces one step inland. Just as I stand to advance into Tunisia and finish their presence in the Mediterranean, Algeria declares independence in spite of me having 9 land divisions, a fleet and 8 air divisions in the region. The land and air divisions were simply re-deployed back to Paris but the fleet seems to have been lost. Worst of all, Algeria wasn't my puppet or even my ally!

Now, once I had calmed down a little (I had forgotten to save for a while and will now have to do the entire conquest all over again), I started wondering if this was WAD and if so, how I could turn this event (and others like it, if they exist) off? I do intend to release nations once I have conquered them, but having them turn independent and having my armies ejected or disappearing just doesn't seem reasonable.

- I have gotten +200 relations with both Bolivia and Brazil who have turned Syndicalist after mob uprisings, yet they refuse to join my alliance (0% chance), are SA nations particularly hard to get to join an alliance or do I simply have to wait until I can join them in a war until I can get them to join the International Revolution?

- Union of Britain is doing well for itself and seems intent on spreading its own brand of socialism as well, but seems thoroughly disinterested in joining forces, even though I am battling their arch-nemesis Canada just off their very shores. Will there be any events bringing UoB closer together or is this complete cold-mindedness towards alliance due to the ideological difference?

Again, apart from the first issue, I have had a great game so far and look forward to playing many different campaigns as a row of different nations in this scenario, great work all who have worked on this mod! :)

Just wait when you start battling your arch-nemesis and biggest threat to workers: Germany. The Brits will then in most cases join you.

Yes, the alliance with the brits will happen if you follow the right course of events. It also depends on the British internal policy events, which will determine the future direction for the UoB. There's a chance they'll go extremely isolationist, so they won't go to wars or ally with you.

As for the Brazilian and Bolivian relations, that also depends on their personal slider moves and ministers. They should join as well as anyone else, but if they're isolationist, there's not much you can do.

Ok thanks, I'll look into that.

No answer on the Algerian dilemma though? I've looked for the French event-file but the one I found was empty.

It's in the ENTENTE folder.

I'm sorry, should've been more specific, I'm playing the Commune of France, not National France. I've already searched the NF event file and didn't find the event in question.

EDIT: Never mind, finally found it in the "KLOTW AI Events 3" file ( ), but indeed it seems like there is only supposed to be one option available? Oh well, I guess it's modding time. :p

Silly Kibbles and his folder naming :p

JSGME(found on my sig) is an application that enables the mod. You need to create a "MODS"-folder to your HoI2-folder. Then extract the Kaiserreich-folder you've downloaded to the MODS-folder. Then you can activate the mod by using JSGME.

I have a problem with the ACW. The country that first revolts, be it the syndicalists of the union state, always (ALWAYS) takes over the rest of the nation after they just give up. At first I thought it was just bad luck, but it has happened ever single time now.

I have a few troubleshooting questions. I got the mod application up and running as well as the mod folder. I loaded Kaiserreich onto a new application of DD1.3a, but when I load the game I get scenario errors and a bad mess of the default scenario and Kaiserreich's scenario. What gives?

Secondly, how do you install the 1.01 update? There wasn't any documentation, so I don't know. Do you use the mod enabler again or do you copy/paste it into the game folders directly?

Surely you didn't start the game by using the 1936-scenario? You need to start the Kaiserreich-scenario found near the bottom of the scenario list.

As for the second question, you use the mod-enabler to install 1.01.

I saw that too, and I think it's because the trigger for annexing the USA is just:

(Insert civil war faction here) = exists

At least, that was how it looked like in the event file. Maybe it needs to be adjusted?

I'm having a problem with the start of ww2. Besides the obvious of course, the puny Syndicalists vs The Planet prety much spells my doom, but still, the thing is:

The event for UoB entry in the war repeats itself. So instead of 5% dissent (why's that btw?) I get 10. Where can I find it to fix the issue?

And are there any other events to get the other Syndicalist powers in? Brazil and Mexico especialy. In this mighty unfair war (seriously, Entende + Germany vs France and Britain...) they would be very usefull.

edit: I found the event (or probably one of them). In the wwII pre-war .txt
