Potential California Leaders . .

Here are two potential leaders for California.

Hiram Johnson was a Progressive Republican Governor of California from 1911-1917 and then served as Senator from 1917 until his death in 1945. He was a populist, (read Man of the People) but was also anti Japanese and worked for legislation to exclude Japanese immigrants from California. He was TR's VP candidate in his unsuccesful 1912 presidential campaign.

Herbert Hoover lived in Oregon and California and got a degree in mining engineering from Stanford. He worked as an executive for a mining company in China, and then served as director of Food Administration during WWI under Wilson, and headed US War Reilef efforts in Europe and then served as Commerce Secretary under Harding and Coolidge. Competent Technocrat maybe?

I have 2 pics of Johnson, 1 old, 1 young

New and improved German techteams, I have no idea what Fokker-Junkers has general equipment showing up, its not listed for them, but I'll fix it soon enough, probably some sort of error in my typing somewhere.
....
Well, here is some of the new teams and changes, I'll probably do some more tinkering and such before giving you my files Sarmy, as well as putting them on my webspace for people to add to their game easily.

Cool - many thanks! All this is a big help.

OK - so I downloaded and installed the large file and the small 'fix' file, used the jgsme utility to activate the mod, started up the game, chose the 1936 scenario as Germany....and get a msg 'Scenario Files Had Errors’.
I click ignore and then it loads the regular (Nazi Germany) 1936 game

What am I doing wrong?

Thx

- j

You're seem to be loading up the wrong campaign! The regular '1936' scenario won't work properly, as all the province setups and linkig files are different.

You must scroll all the way to the bottom of the scenarios list and select the 'Kaiserreich' campaign - this should hopefully work properly.

Many thanks for these and the French ministers (I think I had Deat already, but not the other two).

Hoover is of course the outgoing President as well, so I'm not sure how directly seccessionist he'd be - he could still be in the files somewhere though!

What about Serbia's teachteams?

I propose
Mihajlo Pupin-for science equipment.
Mihajlo Petrovic- air doctrine
Vojvoda(Feldmarscal) Radomir Putnik-land doctrine ...

The whole Serbian setup in general needs some development -> So, any possible ministers (eg. who would be likely to be King in the event of a German victory?), leaders and teams you could suggest ( :) - preferably with game stats and pictures!) would be great.

Allright. My english is not good.

Head of State:
Peter I
Alexander I
or Austro-Hungarians and Germans occupators
gen. August von Mackensen
gen. Oscar von Potiorek (or something else)
King Ferdinand of Bulgaria, if Bulgaria annexed Serbia
Archduke Maximilian Eugen, if Austria annexed Serbia.

I have a picture, but i can't send. This is for Head od State.

But would he still be the outgoing President in this timeline with the USA split into multiple nations?

Well, I've just finished my first game as Austria. I managed to lose after trying to bring about a single monarchy and going to war with Hungary and Bohemia (My army wasn't deployed well and I lost 9 div in the first battle). Anyway, I gotta say that just from that short game it is already great, just a few points
1) One of the events seems wrong (I think its 90151 in Ausgleich) where preparing for war actually increases relations with Hungary, shouldn't it decrease relations?
2) Is it intentional that Austria has no naval tech teams at the start? My plans to invade Albania had to be put on hold because of that :(
3) Well, this isn't a problem but just a question. Wouldn't a victorious Germany have taken Scapa Flow or at least limited it to strength 5 as its a major port that dominates the North Sea (Sorry if thats answered earlier).
Anyway, brilliant work so far, keep it up :D

Suggestion:
I started as France (Socialist) and noticed that the only land-connected neighbourg that wasn't under any outside protection was Spain. Well, I naturally deployed my troops at the border and started the rampage and annexed (and later puppeted) her in just three months...
Not that I want to complain, but shouldn't Spain be a little more stronger? Or at least have some protection (non-aggression, independence guaranteed etc.)? Annexing Spain so easily and without any sanctions afterwards, the outcome didn't felt very historical...

Keep up the good work! :)

Sarmatia,

I have a question. Is the USA split into separate nations at the beginning of your mod, or are the separate countries merely revolters that could become independent?

If it is/has been split at the beginning then Hoover might not have been President of the USA as in our time line. I have been looking at the regional leaders for California assuming that the USA as we know it was not in existence

The USA splits as the result of various events in the game, but at the start its all one nation

Ah, ok, so maybe then Hoover is not a good choice . .

but here is another possibility for either an independent California or Texas

Howard Hughes, Flamboyant Tough Guy, Air Minister or Armamaments Minister, and/or a Tech Team Hughes Aircraft Corporation . . .

Some Breton nationalist people...

-Rene Le Hir (collaborated with the Nazis)
-Celestin Laine (founded Gwenn ha du, and also collaborated with the Nazis)
-Jean-Marie Perrot (aboot who was very influential in the earlier 20th century in the Breton nationalist movement and was assassinated in the 1940s)

Yep - the reason that the USA would split would be because of the results of the election which got rid of him.

I'd imagine that if Hoover had a demagogic or radical streak, he could be a conceivable West Coast leader - but from the limited amount I know about him, it doesn't really seem the case!

Oooh - many thanks for all this - very useful!

(Even if the size of the portrait you gave may be a bit hard on narrow-band users!)
