... and the outcome was an isolationist, syndicalist government.

Looking at the backround stuff on Kaiserpedia, I'm not sure what it is lol. Bigleftwingmessism is what I'm calling it for now. Though I quite like the setup myself. Semi nationalised industry, and locally elected councils presided over by one permanant body sounds right up my street >.>

So what's the difference with Radical Socialist, which iirc the British start as, and Syndicalist?

And how do you get the reds to appear as Russia?

Restoring the monarchy to fast can trigger a second Russian civil war, and going a fairly leftist path after Kerensky dies can as well.

Posted this in the Kaiserreich forum too, but reposting here in case mod team doesn't notice it:

Looking through the event files, there are a bunch of events for a multifaceted Indian war, but they never seem to trigger. I don't think this is WaD.

I just figured out why: there are three events in KLOTW AI EVENTS 1.txt in db\events\KAISERREICH\AI EVENTS which trigger India_Conquest.ai.

The three events:
Code:
event = {
id = 11800000
country = PAK

trigger = { ai = yes }

name = "AI_EVENT"
desc = "The War For India"
style = 0

date = { day = 15 month = february year = 1938 }

action_a = {
	command = { type = ai which = "kaiserreich/switch/India_Conquest.ai" }
	}
}

event = {
id = 11800001
country = PRK

trigger = { ai = yes }

name = "AI_EVENT"
desc = "The War For India"
style = 0

date = { day = 15 month = february year = 1938 }

action_a = {
	command = { type = ai which = "kaiserreich/switch/India_Conquest.ai" }
	}
}

event = {
id = 11800002
country = IND

trigger = { ai = yes }

name = "AI_EVENT"
desc = "The War For India"
style = 0

date = { day = 15 month = february year = 1938 }

action_a = {
	command = { type = ai which = "kaiserreich/switch/India_Conquest.ai" }
	}
}
The content of India_Conquest.ai:
Code:
war = 75

combat = {
	PRK = 75
	IND = 75
	PAK = 75
}

Should these three events be removed for proper play?

pleeease, someone help me?
I don't know how to install this game.
All I got when I downloaded it was some 10 archives about the AI of each country.
I asked for help before and nobody helped me. Is this how you want me to enjoy this mod?

Download Kaiserreich Beta V again. Then a folder named Kaiserreich Beta V should appear (wherever you specify that it should go) copy and paste the contents of Kaiserreich Beta V to a copy of Armageddon 1.2 that should work.

thanks1
this might work.

So what's the difference with Radical Socialist, which iirc the British start as, and Syndicalist?

According to the game itself, (where syndicalist takes the place of Leninism and Radical Socialist as LWR), Radical Socialist allows the government to be more "democratic" and "open".

Though it's important to take these at face value, because some ideologies might not completely match what the sliders have for them (Anarcho-Syndicalists). This is due to the limitation in how they can be put in-game as the most one can do is work around a system meant for a different world's politics.

I'd imagine more realistically speaking, Radical Socialists would probably allow for more local control of industries where Syndicalists might favor more direct planning, allowing labor unions to direct policy in place of a bureaucracy managing state industries in another world.

And how do you get the reds to appear as Russia?

As jamhaw mentioned, there's some room here.

Either you create a very right-wing government (be it a Denikin or Wrangel dictatorship, or re-inviting the Czar) and dissent has to be high, or taking the path of the Mensheviks and getting to a certain event around mid-march 1937, which gives you three options

-Keep the Republic
-Create the Soviet Union
-Make a Liberal constitutional monarchy

If you're interested in actually playing the Soviets, it's best to take the more peaceful path, but be sure to cancel all researches once you enter March 1937.

Is it possible to avoid the ACW? If so, is it worth it, and which faction?

Not in BetaV. There are some "negotiation" event choices for the two major parties where it looks like you can deal with the CSA strike or AUS, but no matter what they revolt. You can also try and pick the moderate decisions as President Long or Reed, but MacArthur still coups you IIRC.

I am a little miffed about that, to be honest. The ACW is a lot more balanced now, but you can't play one side off the other or placate anyone-even if you implement Reeds reforms, he still revolts for example. These means that amazingly detailed event tree is actually a little useless since at the end you still end with a 3/4 way war.

I'm sure they will remake it.

They better don't even think about not remaking it! Otherwise I'll.... be sad.

I agree this should be the number 1 priority for all of the kasierreich modders. It also could start early production letting the team finish the mod instead of constantly putting up betas. And new nations can be created + new events and battles that could change:rolleyes: the game inside out!

Imagine guiding Russia with the Law system (certain Laws prevent others from being used, of course)...*drools*

What about the East Asian event chains...
Everyone is going to have something to go O.O over in a HoI3 version.
