Firstly, great job with the mod guys - I had loads of trouble with it in the beginning - but now that I've got the 1.01 patch - most of the problems I had have been rendered pretty much void. Anyway, I'm kind of new to this, and as such have, well, no clue how to write events - so I wouldn't be much help there. I would like to help a little if I can, though.
If it is needed, I would be more than happy at taking a crack at producing lists of names for ships, squadrons or divisions for any nation that needs them. Particularly, I'm thinking ships here - I looked through the files for the unit names and found a few things that I don't think fit *that* well with your Alt-Hist.
For example - the names of the Union of Britain ships that you start the game with are great, but the names which are given to ships that are built by the player...well, I don't think they are quite as good. There seems to me far too many traditional 'Royal Navy' names on the list, for one. I mean I can see, at a glance - ships named for Earls, Barons and Viscounts (RNS Howe, RNS Anson and RNS Hood) ships named for great Royalist victories (RNS Agincourt) and a prevalence of classical mythology (RNS Bellephron, RNS Ajax). These don't seem particularly...socialist...to me. Perhaps a cross-reference with the Red Fleet of OTL would yield better results and a more socialist 'feel'???
The first thing that drew my attention, however, was the Canadian/Monarchist list. It looks a bit thin (it also has Quebec no less than three times!) - and I can't believe that there aren't CVs called Hope and Glory and Jerusalem, they were the first names to spring to mind!
So, anyway, if you want me to help - say the word and I'll happily knock a list together for you to look at for inclusion in any later versions of the mod.
The RNS stands for Republican Navy Ship in KR, not Royal Navy. I've usually taken care of the unit names, and I intend to do that in the future too(it's better to have one person handle them so there won't be any mix-ups).
You can send me a list of suggestions, and I shall include them if they are suitable.

I know - what I was saying was that the Republican Navy of KR is still using traditional Royal Naval names for its ships. For example, there were three HMS Howe's between 1815 and 1936 (with a further fourth laid down but never completed), judging by the radicalism of the split from the 'Old Regime' - I'd assume that the Republican Navy would want to begin its own tradition. What we have at the moment is something akin to the U.S.S.R. calling their shiny new CV Pytor Bagration....
Anyway - I'll put together a list of say 10 BBs and 10 CVs for the Union - I don't want to go overboard and write a huge list for all of those little ships as well if you don't like how I am interpretating the Republican Fleet.

My reasoning behind most is pretty obvious. Civil War battles are in (we have Naseby already), Rhonda Valley and George Square are famous socialist protests, Red Star and Raised Fist are international symbols of socialism. Winstanley was a leveller (also in already), Blake was a parliamentarian admiral who WASNT an aristocrat (it’s a traditional RN name but it fits, so I don't see why all of the traditional Naval names have to go...). The CV names are a mixture of Soviet style 'lets name them after someone famous' and British 'lets name them after something which sounds really dramatic'.
The Canadian/Monarchist ones are also pretty obvious, and centred on the British as there's already plenty of Canadian names on the list - tub thumping patriotism, vengeance analogies (Nemesis and Erinyes), a continuation of themes already established...oh, and Thunder Child. Because the bit in 'War of the Worlds' where it rams a Martian Fighting Machine was the single greatest piece of science fiction/conflict literature ever written. If I do more, references like that will crop up all the time!

Also, I took the liberty of changing "Red Star" to "Red Torch", since the emblem of syndicalism that we use includes a crossed hammer and a torch inside a cogwheel. A star is more socialist than syndicalist symbol.

I've heard great things re a Kaiserreich music pack. But can't find it. Is it already part of the Kaiserreich mod? If so, I've already downloaded the mod but not checked it yet for use. If the music pack is somewhere else, please could someone provide a link to it, as it seems impossible to find.

I belive they have a policy of deleting files after X time without downloads. Might have been a slow spell for KR.Actually, what the hell is wrong with those rapidshare links?
