In february he suggepsted to Stalin to execute a large part of Red Army's official to prevent a possible a coup of state leaded by Marshal Tuchachevski, a zarist official during the revolution. Stalin order to Lavrentij Beria to investigate on this possibilty. He discovered that it is a Trozky's strategy to spread hate for Stalin in the Soviet army.
On March, 2nd 1938 Ezov is publically processed, he admit that Beria's theory is true. In the name of the Soviet Union Ezov is executed the next day.
Lavrentij Beria became new NKVD leader and Stalin award him the Lenin Order appointment.
