Greetings all!

I loved HOI1 and love HOI2, but if there is one thing I hate about it, it is the colors on the map.

Luckily it's moddable!

And so, I have spent many hours reworking the entire HOI2 map. The codename? Sexxicolors!

Here is a little preview to spark interest!

As you can see, nearly every country has an improved color or totally new color, including ALL commonly (and uncommonly!) used revolters (screenshots of that later).

Enjoy the download!

TO INSTALL:

Simply download this file and extract it to your Hearts of Iron main folder. It will ask you if you'd like to overwrite existing files. Say yes!

ATTENTION:

Be aware, this mod WILL EFFECT MULTIPLAYER. You and your friends will all need to use this mod; a mixed blessing!

Looks very nice!! I especially like the deep and vibrant colours. When will it be available for download?

Looks really nice... my only suggestion is to get rid of that ugly Pink for Britain, and change it to a kind of Khaki Tan colour (like CORE or Axis and Allies)

Can you please post a screenshot of Australia and New Zealand? Also, have you added colors to "hidden" nations, such as CSA, California, Ukranie, etc or you'll work on that?

UGLY PINK! That reddish-pink painted much of the world about 80 years ago. It's the Empires own historical map colour and I'd hate to see it changed. Can you imagine France being any other colour than blue?

I really like the map, my only suggestion it to get rid of that accursed brown, it dosn't fit with the others colours at all. The rest is really nice

Indeed, most all revolters have assigned appropriate colors, including the Caucus Republics, India, Pakistan, Egypt, and the infamous CSA

The post has been edited to show Australia and New Zealand. I think the colors are very appropriate.

Brown works for certain countries, it seems. Namely Turkey, Denmark, and Australia. I don't know why, but it just seems to suit them. Also, that pink was inspired by Allenby, who insisted on it for TGW. It grew on me, and now I am in love with it.

Yes, the terrain types are easier to decipher now, especially between hills (brown) and desert (orange-yellow), which in default HOI are nearly identical.

Yes, it's not the best color, but it serves its purpose for Switzerland and a few British puppets.

You know as I was scrolling down just now, I thought "actually it's not so bad on Turkey and Denmark.. I just hate the brown in the middle of Europe, used to be Austria, now Czechoslovakia... maybe "Italy" green would suit them?

Great Mod!

It's minor, but do you really want Bolivia to be almost the same color as Brazil?

Having grown accustomed to Vicky colors, I think white would suit them (and Canada, too)...

How exactly do you edit which colors the various terrain types are? Are they always pre-set at some specific color, light mountains = some shade of grey, forest = some specific shade of green etc? Don't seem to find anything about terrain in the countries.csv file.
