Multiplayer Teaser story :)

Just spent an hour playing a fun little multiplayer game of EU2 with Huzics, Warspite and Produce Pete..

The game started with all of us looking around planning what to do... it didn't take long until we saw the "Turkey has declared war upon Byzantium..."

Of course me and Pete tried to mobilise forces to come to his help.. The good christians we were....

Austria spent a long time negotiating military access so that they could move their armies down through the balkan nations to help our the Byzantians.

I moved my fleet down from the atlantic and boarded a migthy army of twenty thousand spanish knights (without horses onto my fleet and set sail for the aegean.

Meanwhile the french were busy in the chaos that is the french-english war.

Constantinople fell to the turks, and Morea was besieged by the turks. The only hope the empire had was the austrian army busy waiting for military access through serbia, and the castillian fleet which just rounded Siciily.. And their own pathetic remnants of troops in Dobrudja...

But all turned to glory, as the Castillians landed in Smyrna, and the turkish fleet were swept away by the combined castillian/byzantic fleet. And the Austrian army defeated the main turkish army in bulgaria.

Well they did manage to get past February 1419 unlike 95% of my EU1 Mplayer games!

2nd part.

Here's what I recall (at home now )

Castillian armies took Smyrna after a long siege, and then defeated a turkish army in Anatolia(?) before sieging that province.

The combined Austrian and Byzantian armies defeated the Turks at all fronts in Europe and the sieging forces in Morea had to surrender.

When we quit for the day, there was only two turkish controlled provinces left.
It is not entirely certain that Byzantium is going to an easier situation with no Turkey around, with a strong Castille sitting right across the Bosporus, and parts of balkan controlled by Habsburg.

Of course, the backstabbers and untrustworthy french, ruled by the infidel scum known as Huzics decided to go war against the sovereign realm of Castille, while the main part of the Castillian army was away.

Happily enough, I had Aragon and Navarre in my alliance and France hadn't taken that into account and got their armies eliminated by my allies before I could mobilise a new army.

And I can't wait until tomorrow
