Just to remind people, that this project is not dead. Stuff happened and such, but in a couple of days I will release the 1.01 version of RU. It will still be a raw skeleton of the mod to be, but I've managed to play 50 years without a crash. (though sometimes it holds out somewhat less :() It seemed to me that the Punic War aspect of it works... relatively well.

I still see my baby as an uncut, very rough diamond, but it is getting there. One tiny step after the other.

Yes, there is serious talk about a new Ancient Map, and I think it is being worked on as we speak, but for what I'm told, there is still some way to go with that.

As for events, we need all events for just about everything except Rome and Carthage. For the Punic War, the Greek events are the most important, so you can start with them. And thanks :)

Good scenario, I really like it. I did play this through moddir, but there where a few things I needed to do. First add a Save Games folder in the scenario folder (very important, can't save otherwise) and in order to get the graphics (for units & cities) I copied all the files and pasted them into the standard folder, but I DIDN'T overwrite anything. Works fine as far as I can tell.

Regarding that event, the one in the download fired fine for me and I can't see anything wrong with it.

Some cultures seems somewhat misplaced (numidian in Dalmatia).

The event in major_rus.txt seems to have one } to many.

There seems to be two Judeas. POR and GOT. POR is the one that is included in revolt.txt but GOT the one that has shield and flag.

Armenia can release a country named X (tag ALD) in their capital. I assume that it should be ARM (Armenia) in revolt.txt and monarchs.ald should be monarchs.arm (judging by their content)?

Bosporus seems to have 2500 ducats at start. Seems a bit much for that relatively remote and isolated nation.

A suggestion, name the event files something like "major_macedonia.txt" instead of "major_fra.txt", it makes things easier IMO. Also it is a good idea to add empty monarch and/or leaderfiles for those without any monarchs/leaders at the moment. Prevents vanilla monarchs and leaders appearing where they shouldn't be appearing. And some comments might be nice in the revolt.txt.

In some monarchfiles there are comment and remarks that appearantly are leftovers from the vanilla files, remove those comments and remarks that have nothing to do with this scenario.

Now, what year does the starting year represent (I assume 218 BC)?
And can I get a list of all the tags used at start except Rome, Carthage, Syracuse, Seleucids, Egypt, Macedonia, Numidia, Armenia, Pergamum, Pontus & Epirus (so I can quickly make those playable as well)?
How far east are countries going to be added (I assume that atleast Parthia and Bactria will be included)?

Here I have added Parthia and Bactria (used tag BOU for Bactria) as well as added some provinces for Seleucids. First is changes for the provinces, then Seleucid changes, then Parthia and Bactria. (I also changed the name of the Seleucid starting army to Seleucid Army)

Yes, the starting year is 218, but as we all know, there is no direct way that we can show that in the mod :( So, it's years after the foundation of Rome+1000.

Also, have you used the "Civilisation system" yet? It is one of my bigger concerns, whether or not it should stay in the mod.

Edit: yes, Parthia and Bactria will be included, so I want to boost the Seleucid strength a little so it can handle extra opponents. However, for now I'm focusing on the Punic War and the west.

The civilization system is nice. But shouldn't Ptolemaic Egypt be Hellenic?

I've noticed that Armenia doesn't use the Armenian randomleadernames.

And regarding eventfiles, IMHO the end of the scenariofile should look like this

I assume you eventually will move provincechanges into province.csv? I suggest not to wait too long, since when moving changes there, provinces with odd cultures (such as Dalmatia with its numidian culture, and all the galatian provinces in North Africa) can be fixed relatively easily then when you can see province name -> easier to know what culture should be there IMHO.

For monarchfiles, do you wish to have fantasy monarchs (SomeName *) for countries such as Seleukids that disappear before the scenario ends, so that one gets new monarchs after their historical demise? If so I will make some for Seleucids. And in addition to Bactria I will try to make monarchfiles for Bithynia and Atropatene Media as well as expanding the monarchfiles for the other countries in Asia Minor that needs it.

Could someone perhaps post a screenie of the ingame map, I'd like to see all the countries in place.

I got a template for the *_data.bmp so there easy to make whatever one you want. :)

Out of these Numidia is the one I'm most uncertain about. If needed Armenia can go to, but first, what should be the eight country? Parthia perhaps? Or maybe Pergamum? Bosporus? Or is Numidia OK?
Pergamum would be my choice.

(Atropatene) Media doesn't know about Nuyssaybin and Tabriz provinces.

Note that the event in major_mog is faulty.
When I start the game now, it says it cant find the event file for akk.

For monarchfiles, do you wish to have fantasy monarchs (SomeName *) for countries such as Seleukids that disappear before the scenario ends, so that one gets new monarchs after their historical demise? If so I will make some for Seleucids. And in addition to Bactria I will try to make monarchfiles for Bithynia and Atropatene Media as well as expanding the monarchfiles for the other countries in Asia Minor that needs it.
