Duke of Wellington: You were right. The blowing bubbles failed miserably and now my keyboard and monitor are a mess.
On the 80k words... somewhere along the line I read how many words a day Stephen King wrote. Personally I don’t care for the man or his books/stories but I wanted to prove I could write more a day than he could. I did the thing but I couldn’t sustain it, burning myself out as soon as the story finished. At least I didn’t try comparing myself to Robert Louis Stevenson or I’d still be in recovery.
On a more serious note I hope these little profiles do return. Naturally I don’t expect them to be as long (even Director’s in the early days was only 1000 words and *that* was considered long) but a little insight with a little reason or attitude behind writing might be a good thing. Perhaps the future WoW winners wouldn’t mind giving up a few writing tips. Who knows, the discussions that may follow may spark the SolAARium to become an active thread.

After receiving the award last Sunday I dreaded this day. My shiny object of love and affection will be gone, gone, gone.
But it is time to pass this Award on to someone else. At first I wanted to find a brand new author to show everyone but after reading some of this writer’s work my mind was made up. After a brief check to see if this writer had won the award recently I was surprised to find that this writer hasn’t won in nearly four years! Its been far too long if you ask me.
