While I'm at it, I must once again say that this is a good piece of work. I can't wait until I can afford a new computer (I smashed my last one to pieces in anger )! Then I'll try this out right away!

For pagans, something very natural and simple, maybe something like a tree. Sounds dumb but most pagans were/are animists of one sense or another.

Btw, I don't mean to sound incredibly dumb - but when it comes to stuff like this, I am... How does one get a shield from the d/l'ed bit for use here on the fora? I so want to steal that uber-sexy Novgorod one, but wouldn't know where to begin to take it from the game.

Well I think they should use the african ones - only the North African nations should use muslim shields imo.

You need a graphic program to do that, Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro.

The pagan nations are, what, native Americans, Central/South American empires, African nations?... I'd keep the style by region rather than religion, so African pagans and muslims would use the same template, Navaho and co. another, and Inca/Aztec and co. a third.
