POP - ready files

Hi all,

Okay, i just d/l the VIP for te first time. It says it includes the most recent pop mod.

I saw that virtually all of my work was NOT in this. Persia was screwed up, the levant was messed up, Java/Sumatra were back to their super pops, etc.

The Ottomans are back up to 50m people... should be 24.5m

Some one messed with my Austria files adding hundreds of thousands of clerks & craftsmen. No wonder Austria is still doing really well! I checked and this gives them more clerks than Britain and France combined.

Cyprus, Crete, Malta & various other islands pops were much to high.

What is going on here guys?

did you check if the files were the correct ones?
i will review all that again to see if i forgot to delete some file...

Can you post a list of the provinces and relative .csv affected? We are reviewing the POP's.

Why are both Tunis & Tunisia files being used? They cover the same area and are redundant. They also give Tunisia about a 25% population boost.

I have to admit i do wish there were more Danish virgins in the game!
They are the center of my empire!

Michael,

This is a rather long list. Who modified those files? Or are you refering to a vanilla problem? Cause if no one edit those files, they will continue with the vanilla files as default.

For example, no one modified Korea, and what exactly is wrong with them, just saying that is wrong won't have it changed, also point the problem. Malta is another example, no one edit those.

because i cannot understand very well your complain about the POPs... maybe it is me, can you clarify it?
while playing the VIP scenario you get wrong POPs? then you look at the files and they are old ones different from the POPmod files?

When you play VIP, does Austria have a horrendous amount of clerks? Does the Ottoman empire have 50m people? Does Korea have 40m people or so? (instead of the 9m it should have)

These are all errors. The files i sent in a couple of months ago fixed those problems. I do not remember if i sent you Korea's files as i have been constantly updating what i have finished.

Some of these files i modified, but my versions are not for the most part in the VIP. Some of these files others modified and are incorrect.

I also have files or Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Bukhara, and Khiva.

Mike, those files made into POPMod? Cause yesterday me and Gen. fixed a lot of POP files, but I don't recall any file from Korea.

Can you send those modded files by e-mail to me or to Gen., it better to him as he is building the next release.

what pimparel said, we do not have those files that you are mentioning... so we could not implement your changes...

pimparel reported to me that a LOT of files from the POPmod doesn't have the needed "empty line" at the end of the file.
PLEASE, check your files before sending them!

For example:

Please be careful, if you don't add the empty line in the end of the file, the last line won't be read.

As example I remember a file from oceania that the last line was 50 farmers, resulting in 200.000 people missing!!! This must be the largest abduction ever seen in any sci-fi flick.

Please note that many of those were meant as a dummy file (without any content) snce the game apparently looks for them even after their deletion from the list. poland_russian.csv

poland_catholic.csv for instance were long abandoned and replaced by nation-specific files. There's a list of dummy files in the readme.

No, they had content and they were missing the last line, only one was empty, which is marked.

And there is no need of dummy files, is just exclude them from scenario.eug

I tested it with the previus patch and the game lwas looking for some files even after deleting them from scenario.eug. The problem is that apparently you installed the patch after POP mod. Was it the case?

Hi Mike,

I'm sorry i've been busy for a while, so i totally forgot to update the Lux.csv file. However, i have Kreuzberg.csv file where the large Turkish minority is properly represented. I have found sources that trace the history of early Turkish settlers to Berlin around 16th century. Or was it 1960's ? nevermind, they were there probably before the Osthrogoths and Vizigoths.

Lol, let joke aside, lets try to fix the misplaced ones. And meanwhile lemme add a few Greek and Turkish POPs to Egypt.
