Upon reading Fade's post yesterday about not touching HOI game or forum Ive decided to start my very own club. This is due in part to Dan's great club of HOI worst players!

The club will be called HOI Missing In Action Company OR

HOI M.I.A Company. Every person in the company (military formation) will have a number to represent their membership.
So far:

#0002 (what else).

To be recruited you must state why you deserve to join the ranks of this company.

Your reason must be that you play to much and are missed by friends family, wife/girlfriend, kids, pets, etc, therefore resulting in that you are MIA from your realife.

Do you find HOI and this forum taking over your life?

The reason I should be a member is that:

Ive been playing HOI so long that my friends dont bother to ask me to go to the pub. They wait for me to invite them!

My parents complain that I never visit enough!

Oh and the company needs a founder!!

very good idea, but can a division of this group be players that have quit HoI? B/c i have quit playing 1.05b... I have reasons(3 crashes out of 3 games...)

what about people like me that just seem to piss of certain moderators ::whistles innocently:: Be funny if we have many platoons, make us a little different then Worst HOI club. Ouh by the way i'd definitely like to join. Same thing with me on the friends thing, They haven't called me since a month after I bought this game when they realized that if i don't call, I'M BUZY! Hmmm what would be a good platoon name for me... WWHD? (o.o; that's like "what would jesus do".... cept it's "what would hitler do"... It's a joke...Please take it that way)

Since I bought new furniture, for my room, three weeks ago, I've only had the time to assemble my computer desk (obviously), while my new bookcase and sideboard still are disassembled in the boxes in which they were delivered.

Reason: HOI and this forum.

Good enough?

Edit: And tomorrow I'm back at work, after my vacation, when am I going to assemble my furniture??? ...

How bout having to buy two keyboards since purchasing Hoi because i "just have to" eat dinner in front of HOI when i get home from work. Oh yes you can wipe it down, making it aestetically pleasing to the eye, but your not going to get all of the "nuggets and goo" that fell in between the keys.

Ever had a keyboard start smelling on you?

How bout playing so late into the morning, promising yourself, "just one more month" Finally deciding in a temporary fit of responsibility that you should, "call it a night"

Oh no whats this?! Germany Dow'd me!

2hours later and i barley have enough time to get into the shower before work.

I drag my self into work feeling much like Lazurus must have after he rose from the dead.

Force a smile to a few co workers as i pass through the office.

Close the door to my office.

Caress my laptop case and smile.

Remove my laptop and power my baby up.

No time to quit now, my men need me.

Damn Germans and their war mongering ways.

Game loads. I click the pause button. Massive amounts of Unit and tech grooming ensues. Lose track of time.

*knock at office door*

A co worker pokes his head in and inquires about grabbing a quick lunch.

"Erm, too much work to do, thanks for asking tho"

"You shouldnt work so hard, he retorts."

"Erm, ill try not to."

I queitly think to my self, "Now LEAVE you knob!"

The next few hours are ugly as Europe is torn asunder. Gaps are filled. Pockets obliterated. Entire divisions dissapear into oblivion.

*phone rings*

*Instincitvly, through many office sessions of HOI, i know NOT to answer THAT phone call. On the other end, is a petite little women who i know is not happy with me*

*hesitently looks at clock on wall*

*6:45*

"shit"

*power down, pack laptop up, kiss it*

* Driving home I replay the scenario where i lost 9 div to the Italians, yeah thats right, the friggin italians. I must learn from this. To ensure it never happens again*

*Pull in driveway, look in car mirror. Yep still look like shit*

*enter home, wondering which approach to use with the gate keeper. The tantalizing foot rub technique? "The go out for dinner spur of the moment style?" No. No. That would mean i would get home way to late for any chances of a possible "Quickie HOI session" Hmmm.*

She shakes her head at me in adissaproving manner and says, "Honey, you work to hard. You gotta start taking it easy on your self"

WOW....One little post and you ran with it...Good Job! Ok here's my little part. If you look back at some of my first post's you'll see that I did not even have a computer,that I would go to a friends house to play. I would call him and discuss my tactics for my glorious army's victories, he would hang up. I'd see him at work where I'd tell him how I needed to research Adv Med Tank's, he'd would leave. When we went to lunch together I would diagram on a napkin how the German Army would take France through the Low Countries. After many months of nagginng,arguing, begging, my wife finally said I could buy my own computer the first game I got HOI. I sit at work and troll the forums reading ARR's then bust out LOL and my co-workers think I'm crazy .I'd print screen pictures and take them to work just so everyone can see how great this game really is, and to have someone opinion on the problem I'm having with the Soviets around Stalingrad... My wife does not like the Game anymore I had to buy a second computer just so she could go online and pay the bills,damn really life problems. So there you go, I feel like an Addict.... And it feels good!
