You know researching a little more what the players around you are doing IC wise, adding pictures, making titles, separating things, having overarching plans, and etcetera. avalon_lords___castle_siege_by_raymondminnaar-d7g21pd.jpg

Aedan - "Eat a dick" or well... I suppose I'm just paraphrasing. Essentially though the town of Syracruse shot down the request for annexation, and one of the dignitaries sent. The siege of Vasto ends and with it will come the next step in the southern campaign. Though he continues buying small amounts of units and over stretching his borders the lich does invest into upgrading his army some. (+137 gold)(Vasto Conquered)(-24 gold, +24 LI)(-40 gold, Leather Armor Upgrade)(see war section)

Alexander23 - As always forces changed hands as what was in Astana went to Pavlodar, and what was in Qyzylorda went to join Xatir's hord in Omnigovi. The home base of the landed Tsukino is put to siege. Yes Xatir has come home to reclaim her old birthright of Omnigovi. Doing age old methods of siege warfare she takes several days building the siege equipment. Movable mantles are set in place so her archers can slowly advance toward the walls were they are in range, while ladders, and battering rams are formed. It takes a few weeks though for the siege towers and trebuchets to finish. Once done though the trebuchets almost immediately start flings diseased corpses over the city walls in order to kill its defenders with plague. And, the most constant truth of all siege as quoted by Jean-Baptist 43 Grandmaster of the 12 Peers "although walls are made of stone, the housing behind them are wood." Following his logic a rain of fiery projectiles were sent over the first ring of walls into the residential district of Omnigovi. They could not yet though reach the merchant, military, or craftsmen districts of the second ring, and certainly not the noble's district in the center. This simply encouraged the defenders to rush out and meet the besiegers. This was met with quick failure as a flurry of arrows hit the defenders the moment they began to move forward. Quickly they realized they would need to regroup and plan again for another attack some other time. (+84 gold)(-93 gold, +64LI, +30A)((Dundgovi Annexed)Omnigovi Sieged [sally forth failed][garrison at 184]).

Baboushreturns - Borguk fades into the footnotes of history. (kicked for inactivity).

Bisquix - After a series of gifts, and by gifts I mean dead nobles, Reggio decides to join the realm of Igneus. Beyond that several Lombard mounted crossbowmen are trained at Vulcanus(+115 gold)(-150 gold, +10CA)(see war section)

Brovahkiin - By joining Charon's Echelon, and perhaps coming to terms Nuram'hud'sicel'vitaum Fenetarkil XIII, Valkorus is left safe and secure in the dead lands. No longer considering himself at war he simply continues to hunt down bandits and expand mining operations. Representatives from the Echelon though, one caveat to joining, advised that replenishing his army and expanding west into the fractious lands of Urok could prove beneficial for him. (+8 gold)

Clophiroth - Shassandre fades into the footnotes of history. (kicked for inactivity)(trade deal he was a part of nullified)

DeMarchese - The Rangari of Erelle agreed without even the slightest hint of reluctance to join Tholamin and, more importantly, the holy city of Khabarov. With the many floods poverty has caused many to loose sight of the tenants of the light and gone to crime. Troops are sent out to help remove this cancer from Last Refuge's commerce with little success. It was so bad that Tholamin was wounded during one such outing when a highwayman near Selemon, the village clerics patched him up though. Upon returning to Khabarov, his second home, the high priestess herself heavily warned against doing any form of combat until the wound healed because he couldn't survive two such injuries. (+52 gold)(Erelle Annexed)(Injured)

Dutchguy - Despite the attempts to convince them to join his greater realm the city of Tinnu remains obstinate in its defiance. Preferring to stay the 'free city' of Tinnu in the center of the crumbling Twilight Forest. (+102 gold)

Galren - More troops file in from Sichamps to join their duke at the gates of Jussey. Though they had put up a valiant fight and even bloodied the nose of Rueon's ducal army the village of Jussey finally fell. Fearful that he would suffer the same defeat his cousin, the count of Jussey, and concerned as to what his uncle, the count of Chaumont, would do now since he was with the enemy and knew the secret passages under the village gates, he agreed to annexation. This left only two places left that defied Duke Dorian's claim on Troyes, the Duke of Troyes himself and the count of Reims. (+115)(-75 gold, 20HI)(Jussey Conquered)(Autun Annexed).

Gorganslayer - Finally after many months of siege the walls of Castlemartin fall to Prince Elunir. (+120 gold)(Castlemartin Conquered)

Jako473 - (player defeated/ kicked for inactivity)(see war section)

Mikkel Gladher - As an early snow mixed with rain fell the army of King Fralupi marched into the Angers region at the request of his newest vassal, Duek Godefroy d'Angers. The request was due to issues with an independence league lead by several of his former advisors who were the counts of Limoux, Valence, Estagel, Brioude, and Tulle which is a de jure holding of Brest to the north; this group of rebels called themselves quite theatrically the Breton League, as they were all of the Bretonnic culture. This is a culture that formed from the Frankish mixing with the Caerish of southeastern Wilderana. Their main reason for revolt was a difference of culuture as Angers was Angerian, the same culture as the Jarldom of Nantes, having formed from the Wykmon and Egite Eadlomeren cultures mixing with the Franks many centuries ago. While the count of Valence refused to rejoin Fralupi ignored this as a trivial bit of news as he sieged Limoux with his united forces, whilst recruiting more cavalry back in Nantes. When King Fralupi attacked he was expecting an easy victory and the day seemed to be going that way. While he was receiving wounded the strong shieldwall of his Ealdomeren subjects proved too difficult an obstacle for the militia to break. Yet even though eighty-seven of the hundred defenders died and zero of the attackers died, Fralupi lost. The reason is quite ingenious though somewhat late in coming to fruition on the defender's part. While the garrison fought desperately to hold back the enemy invaders a small detachment spent most of the night and half the day skirting a wide path around the enemy positions and during the battle set fire to their camp. Believing their base camp was under attack, and thus all their loot from past conquests being stolen, many in the rear began to fall back to the base camp. Several of the Ghazaro officers joined in as well, after a while so many were retreating some thought it was a total route and began to join in fleeing, or more comically assumed it was an order and the officers called for the retreat. This domino effect caused the entire uninjured army of King Fralupi to completely quit the field of its own volition. Fralupi's thoughts on the matter are unknown. (+40 gold)(-37 gold, 2LC, +5HI).

Plutonium95 - Damn near nothing is heard of Orianna except the completion of her siege. (+22 gold)(Matsusaka Conquered).

Rovsea - With the many conquests in the region and the conflict in the south the village of Constantine joines under the protection of the Iron-Knights hoping they will give them more autonomy than the 12 Peer affiliates to the South. The massive amount of troops recruited last season arrive in the province and converge on the serene toll town of Safi. This town is very wealthy with rich farmland, and a river navy that can ensure that this particulalry narrow point of the Sabine can be blocked to ensure that any traversing it must pay a hefty toll. (+94 gold)(Constantine Annexed)(Safi Sieged)(-40 gold, Scale Mail Armor Upgrade)(-49 gold, 13HI).

Zex - Despite the situation and the deals presented him Dalius makes no notice of these things and spends the season sitting on his hands. (+8 gold).

Not willing to risk war with the Echelon just yet Nuram'hud'sicel'vitaum Fenetarkil XIII ordered the platoon to march south and besiege Netra instead, which fell within the season, as they had not bothered to try joining the Echelon as Redwyne Castle had. Seeing how they were at war and the Echelon was yet to offer protection to the silent Blackmaw the town of Ostrava was laid siege by 35 light infantry of Val'knsor. Perhaps though the Echelon doesn't believe that the mad Nuram'hud'sicel'vitaum Fenetarkil XIII will actually take these places seeing how he continues to use such small bands of units which dramatically increase the chances the garrison will sally forth against him.(Siege of Bardejov Canceled)(Netra Conquered)(Ostrava Besieged)

As fallen leaves fell the army of General Sevag marched. They had put up a valiant fight, an army of green boys greatly outnumbered by an army of veterans managed to hold off the enemy for over a year. Now though their luck had run out the fact of the matter was the enemy had veterans of a hundred battles, and generals who had fought in thousands. They were hold in their tactics true, but they were still highly experienced. As the defeated 12 Peer army marched southward toward the safety of Suebon and to protect it the rolling sound of thunder came. It was cloudy to be true yet there were no signs of rains to come. Indeed the thunder continued with the vibrations moving from the ground up into the soles of their boots. Indeed it was an enemy charge and their marching column was hit in the flank by a force of light cavalry in their western rear flank, and by a massive force of death knights on the eastern front flank. The rest of the column's flanks soon became struck by either enemy magic, or enemy foot soldiers. General Sevag did not die but he was held captive unlike as when General Cuthwulson was released it allowed the 12 Peers to get an army and Sevag to halt their campaign for over a year. With this the army was wiped out leaving the road to Suebon wide open for the Echeloneans. A road they traveled along quickly, for very soon they arrived at the gates of the ruined city. The birth place of the organized Apostilic religion, which even now remained sacred to many of the heresies and reformation sects of said faith. This was the most cherished site of all humanity. At its heart around the gran basilica was what population of the town existing having forged a thriving town in the center of a dead husk of former glory. Whether this place needed to be glorified still or not doesn't matter for either way it fell. The last bastion of 12 Peer influence in the Dead Lands was gone, without even a single 'soul' on the Echelonean's side 'dying'. Without anyone defending the small outpost of Giglaith King Matamelcan quickly took it back. Now able to recruit troops again he committed a forced march northwest to join up with his 12 Peer allies. Said allies had hunted down the Echelonean forces in the middle of a raid, and had engaged in a large fight. The 12 Peers had won and the Echelon army had fled across the border into the Outlands leaving many supplies behind in their rush. Having just missed the fight the pale elf king did another forced march down toward Vyril but only managed to reach the border near season's end before having to halt his exhausted army.

Realiing that the resistance forces were obviously unorganized, or just slothful, Igneus marched out to the are north of Nellfanald and attacked their hideout ocrrectly. Most likely he found this information from toruting some poor Drow but who knows it could just as easily been a bribe. In terms of body count the battle meant little, but it did something more important. It scattered the resistance, and without any clear leadership they were no longer a threat.[Igneus(-5LI)][Elavelia(-7LI, -4A)]

  1. The Dead Lands Trade Agreement [Alexander23, and Aedan777 gain 1 gold to all settlements for 10 turns].
  2. Tri-Covenant Mutual Benefit ContractAlexander23, and Plutonium95 gain +2 gold to all settlements for 9 turns](Once complete the gold income will decrease by 1 every turn until it hits zero nullifying the trade treaty)
  3. pact [Rovsea and DeMarchese gain +5 gold for each settlement for 4 turns] (Once complete the gold income will decrease by 1 every turn until it hits zero nullifying the trade treaty)
  4. North Trade Deal (+2 gold every settlement for 14 turns for Galren, and Mikkel Glahder.)(0 Gold for Alexander23)[Once timer runs out the revenue per turn will decrease by 1 until hitting zero].
  5. Trade of the Three (+6 gold all settlements for 2 turns for Bisquix, Gorganslayers and Dutchguy)(Once complete the gold income will decrease by 1 every turn until it hits zero nullifying the trade treaty)
  6. Alliance of the Faithful. (+4 gold every settlement for 1 turns Gorganslayer)(+3 gold every settlement 6 turns Dutchguy)(0 gold every settlement for DeMarchese)
  7. Grateful for all the support the 12 Peers and their loyal affiliates offered him in his nation's war for the Twilight Forest King Matamelcan strengthened the bridge between his people and the paladins. Known as the Matamelcan Document it opens up trade by allowing the satellite organization of the Peers, the Northern Trade League, to make trade posts throughout the Twilight Forest at their leisure. This massive increase of trade favors both groups. (+3 gold every settlement for 19 turns for DutchGuy, and 12 Peers).
  8. 11.Deadland-Franconia Trade Treaty (+6 gold every settlement for 11 turns Galren and Aedan777)
  9. Having ignored the situation completely this season Dalius is in massive debt plus war with another faction. His refusal to meet the Echelon's terms means they will not support him and thus have left him to die for this season as his economy worsens. (Zex -5 gold all settlements)(All other players in Dead Lands get -2 gold every settlement).
  10. It was a year of intense flooding in Khab, but now the harvest has come and thanks to the rich fertile soils carried by the Sabine river reaching deeper into the land this harvest was far grander than ever before. Though the full effects of this won't be known until next season once the harvest has fully finished and the wealth counted. (+6 income all settlements in Khab region)
  11. Though there was worry the influx of peasants would cause problems they have been relatively calm thanks to a second wave of missionaries and other clerics from afar. They seem to be of the Frankish culture but not the same ones of Franconia.
  12. This infestation of warlocks and witch hunters, who now many speculate are working in tandem, have spread out of Aqtobe into other parts of Almania without any sign of ending. (Bojnurd, Navoiy, Aqtobe -3 gold every settlement, -2 turns of siege every settlement)
  13. With the sacking of Suebon many people who escaped, or released by the Echelon, fled south in a mass migration/deportation. These people are currently aimless and without shelter or means of sustaining themselves. This has put a great burden on the land of Outlands where they went to. (-2 gold every settlement Outlands, -1 turn siege timer Outlands)
  14. Typhoid has broken out in the marshlands of Stuer and many are dying, hopefully it doesn't spread outside of this province. (Units in field receive casualty rolls in the province of Struer, Ealdholm).
  15. Whilst Khab had spent months flooding it seems the opposite has happened in Latmium. Almost all of the large region has undergone some degree of drought. Some provinces are doing better than others and helping out their sister settlements, others are withering away. All in all it will be a rough harvest for these people. (-2 gold every settlement in Latmium).
  16. A tribe of Elbauthinean living in the forest at the land border between Ealdholm and Wilderana have become more rowdy. They are attacking trade caravans, and burning the items in large pyres on the road. People are being captured and strung up a live to die of thirst as scarecrows to indicate the Drow's new land claim. (-1 gold every settlement in Castlemartin, Wilderanda and Bram, Ealdholm).

Your stat page is up https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...hsSedhT1Be1fAX4EOYRXjfNKBU/edit#gid=897572637. If you can't find it just look for yourself in alphabetical order because that's how I have everyone listed. Your also on the second post under player list in alphabetical order. If your wondering what 'unaffiliated' means it just indicates you are neutral in the fight between the two NPC's, Charon's Echelon and 12 Peers, as of the most recent turn. A good tip for our econ is to try and make a trade deal with someone or someones, and use your revenue order on the places that borders you in order to get them without risking your troops until you can afford to buy some more for your army. Also I'll have to go dark green for you as we have two light green colors on the map.

How do you respond to allegations that you assaulted such lands in a completely reckless and totally unprovoked assault on the inhabitants sparking a brutal, immoral war that brought devastation to the lands in question? Should somebody so clearly temperamental and unstable really be in control of such lands, especially when hey have clearly indicated their desire to not be a part of your kingdom? Can you really justify having a legal right to these lands, even though they were at war with you, and you did not conquer them before the war ended? I do not believe you can. I will make my position clear. I do not care for or want elvish lands. But I do not want you to think that I don't understand exactly what you are doing, which is aggressively expanding your borders for the simple reason that you can and you wish to have more power.

To Gerald Iron-Hide and Tholamin the Savior:
I would like to open trade routes to both of your lands whilst my kingdom is in a time of peace. I offer several things with this trade deal.
  • Timber from my lands.
  • Marble from the many quarries.
  • Textiles
  • Surplus wheat and barley
Additionally I also offer recognition of claims, and land expansion of both your nations by;
  • Not expanding West of the Sabine river, so staying out of the Outlands.
  • I shall also not expand any further into Draenei lands, Khab region, though I will retain the villages of Derealus and Akphoan.
  • Naturally by signing this part of the treaty you would be agreeing to not expand East into Latmium, and respect that I own the villages of Derealus and Akphoan in Khab.

I do not believe that you understand what I am saying. You are proposing to claim, for yourself, lands hostile to you in an aggressive manner, despite a lack of provocation to do so. Simply put, those aren't your lands, those aren't your people, and me and mine are morally opposed to allowing you simply to take them. You have no right to them, indeed, your aggression and brutal tactics actually diminish your right to those lands, as does the recent war you fought to seize them. Frankly, I have never seen such a tyrannical and greedy act of war, and I doubt I ever will again. I spit on your proclamation that rightful Drowish lands be ruled by some reject outsider who happened to cow another band of elves into submission long enough to kill even more of his kind. You represent everything wrong with elvish culture rolled into one figurehead, and if you for a second believe that I will allow you to simply declare that land yours then you are far more foolish then even I presumed. Good day to you sir, and if you should interfere with my men in the area, we shall see each other on the battlefield.

Yet another reply to Gerald Iron-Hide

I did not declare that war.My father did. And it was not a greedy and tyrannical act of war.It was to eliminate a threat to all living .The Ranger General sported armies of undead soldiers . For the fate of all the living in Twilight Forest, my father decided to declare war. When he offered terms to her, she spat on him for being a male. When he had to pay with his live for fighting such an evil force,I rose to the throne. I offered her peace once more. She declined once more. The Ranger General ruled over a vile realm filled with things unspeakable. Now with the collapse of her realm,I must march in and make sure her evil never rises again. I ''claim'' those lands not for personal gain, but for the good of the elven race. I intend on ending the matriarchy and slavery , the undead and corruption that plague those lands. That is why I ''claim'' them. I intend on protecting them and ridding them of evil. If that still does not convince you that my cause is right,I will send you over a gift of my good will.

Backstory:

The Drakonid people are a race of warriors and philosophers they didn't dabble in the events of the outside world, as they concentrated on keeping a strong isolation stance while other nations kept fighting each other for control of the continent, but that all changed when constant raids and attacks on their lands and people reduced the former Draknoid kingdom into rubble. Surviving Drakonid's fled to Urok in search for a new settlement that they can call their new home, most wanted to continue their peaceful existance while others in a new faction called "Dragons Wrath" formed proclaiming the only way to survive this world is to fight, and the man leading this faction was called Magnelious Sulvari former prince of the former Draknoid Kingdom.

He proclaimed himself new King of this settlement and promised a new prosperity for his Kingdom, and now seeks to bring all of Urok under his rule, but war isn't always the option as he plans to bring forth all races under a single banner and to banish evil from the continent as the gods detest the undead and worshipers of them.

Aedan - Nuram'hud'sicel'vitaum Fenetarkil XIII goes on a spending spree and invested into a new series of magical tomes and oddities to advance his power. Perhaps this means he will finally go out and lead one of his many small units of troops who are stretched thin across the continent, if not than why waste the money on it? His attempts to take Uherake fail miserably as his diplomats aren't even allowed into the village. The village itself trying to be annexed into the Echelon Lands of Drachenwald for sometime. The forces at vasto - 35 LI, 10 SU - move south to siege Palermo Directly though even with the skill of the reapers it shalt be an easy fight. (+132 gold)(-200 gold, +1 combat roll)(Palermo Besieged)(See War Section).

Alexander23 - Feasts are held in Ulaanbaatar as the equinox celebration commences. The dignitaries from Sakura Caslte are treated to exceptional hospitality. It would seem their expedition into Pavlodar was well received by many of the locals who viewed their more southerly kinsmen with great favor, unlike the vicious Gleannics to the north. More forces from Astanna arrive too to take the place of the previous expeditionary force which will now be moving North, though the locals heavily advised not to. As the river began to freeze over the old Pavlodar Expedition force, now calling themselves the 3rd Legion, march into Wilderana. They arrive first in the province of Castlemartin and immediately sieged the small village of Wrecsam.

The second season of siege went rather well for Xatir Tsukino who was engrossed in the siege of Omnigovi. The jewel of Almania, and the first place Ur'vak the Enflammed touched down on this plane at was in her grasp all she needed was time. Well she was left with little other choice attacking the walls would be suicide so she was left to continue starving out the city. The warlord nearly cursed when the season came to an end without the defenders attacking again believing that she could better destroy their morale to force them into surrender by continually stopping those little raids. Instead here forces in the freezing cold dug in more trenches and built further defenses making in seem like she had built a new city of here own around the old. The dysentery makes it a loot less appealing than the original though. (+72 gold)(-60 gold, +40LI, +20A)(Ulaanbattar Annexed)(Wrecsam Sieged).

Alkatraz777 - Torii Motodada spent the winter gathering tax income. (+8 gold).

Bisquix - Igneus not caring for the Twilight Forest simply gave the fortress of Sargeraon, or what was left of it, to his fellow Twelve Peer Member. The hope was simply to show that he was a gracious ally, yet all his attempts to convince his neighbors that he didn't desire war with them fell on deaf ears. It would appear that Gerald Iron-Hide was too preoccupied dealing with a series of threats from the arrogant King Matamelcan who almost immediately began acting as though he alone fought and defeated the Kingdom of Vae'farue. Tholamin the Savior simply ignored Igneus, who had merely stated he had no intention to expand further into the Draeneic lands and hoped for amicable relations. Though insulted Igneus knew he could not attack a fellow affiliate of the 12 Peers, nor would he attack his unaffiliated neighbors. Mainly because he saw it as driving potential allies into the arms of the Echelon, something Matamelcan seemed unable to grasp.

Igneus moved back to his original plans which he put on hold in order to eliminate the Echelon affiliate at his rear flank. Worried at the aggressive expansion of the vile and crazy Nuram'hud'sicel'vitaum Fenetarkil XIII, the village of Lieta joined under Igneus' banner, considering him the lesser evil. As this occurred Lord Igneus soon put Cagliari under siege. This surprised the town as it had previously helped his campaign by allowing the 12 Peer reinforcements to reach him. Though their objections ignored the fact they allowed the army of Charon's Echelon to arrive in order to assist the Kingdom of Vae'farue too. (+98 gold)(Sargeraon gifted)(Lieta Annexed)(Cagliari Besieged).

Brovahkiin - Despite the all that was occurring in the Dead Lands Valkorus preferred to spend the winter relaxing with a nice glass of virgin blood, a hard thing to acquire these days. Though some progress was made as he rested, for instance his vampire knights had been doing a great job of removing bandits that sprung up during his absence whilst warring against the Lichlord Logarius. New spear technology was bought and furnished for his troops to make them more efficient against cavalry, such as that of Castle Blackmaw. More importantly was how the Hai Orcs of Grogald agreed to join him having their former nation under Borguk the Goatinator disintegrate after his mysterious disappearance. (+11 gold)(Grogald Annexed)(-40 gold, Spear Upgrade)

DeMarchese - Finally after all the series of floods this year the census came back with the exceptional crop harvest from last season. Tholamin did spend a lot of the season held up in his outpost of Last Refuge, yet this allowed him to heal his old wounds. (+100 gold)(No longer injured).

Dutchguy - Reluctantly the village of Zanthaen agrees to becoming one of King Matamelcan's many vassals though they still curse his when toasting in taverns. As the King expanded in the north he took the lands in the south starting with Vyril. This is the same village where not but a few miles away the war between the Soler Dynasty and Vae'Farue began. The village though had managed to stock up well having avoided the fighting during the war and has survived the winter siege, but spring... "If you want peace prepare for war" truer words were never spoken in the mind of Matamelcan. This turn he spends a fortune on creating two new armies from scratch divided into the Northern and Eastern guard each with; 100 light infantry, and 30 archers. He then sends a modest amount of coin to Gerald Iron-hide, his latest pen pal, who he had been having heated letters with. (+135 gold)(Sargeraon Gifted)(Vyril Besieged)(-240 gold, +200LI, 60A)(Zanthaen Annexed).

Galren - Reims it seems is exceptionally loyal to the Duke of Dorian, which isn't surprising considering their step-brothers. A resounding no is given in response to Duke Dorian when the offer of annexation is given. This minor fly was nothing to the duke though who soon found himself reinforced from Sichamps again as he refused to siege in the middle of winter. After all doing so would only cause many of his troops to die out in the fighting so instead he attacked the walls directly. Well perhaps attack wasn't the right term for it as very little happened. Though his attempt to sneak into the city with his light infantry was inspired, the execution was poor. The attempts to cause a riot failed as the Duke of Troyes had the control over his populace under a tight boot. An enemy scout also discovered their position with suspicious ease, as well as their plan which left those sent to cause the distraction quickly executed. As his executed soldiers hung from the wall Duke Dorian imidiatly went to work trying to ferret out any potential spies. Then though he received grave news. (+126 gold)(-40 gold, Longsword Upgrade)(-3 LI)(see war section)

Gorganslayer - Having grown ever so weary of the rebellious and revolting nature of the natives, and wisely realizing they outnumber him twenty to one, Prince Elunir passes a series of reforms. Though it is clear his prejudice and belief the Gleannics should be second, maybe even third, class citizens the reforms do offer a large amount of rights that Elven law had previously denied. The reforms greatest act was allowing more autonomy for the settlements under the imperial boot, mainly due to the fact it was nearly impossible to rule these rowdy humans with an iron fist thanks to a severe lack of roads.
The prince spent a large amount of time training in strategy and individual combat in order to better deal with the many fierce foes on the continent. He tested these new skills by assaulting Pentywyn. It was a tough fight as it always was with these Gleannics but he managed to triumph over them. Elunir's archers were especially useful thanks to the latest upgrade in arrows purchased from the 12 Peer trade post in Minllyn. (+131 gold)(-240 gold Bodkin Arrow Upgrade, +1 combat roll)(You aren't at war with another faction so I only counted the first combat order).(-2HI, -5A).

Mikkel Gladher - After a considerable amount of debating and compromises the village of Valence finally agreed to rejoin the Duke of Angers through a marriage alliance, and thus was through the duke a part of the Golden Kingdom. Reinforcements from Nantes were of course moved in almost immediately after the last attack on Limoux. Having been unable to take Limoux in a full on assault King Fralupi changed tactics, chiefly by receiving advice from the Duke of Angers and the Count of Valence on the matter. Both knew the Count of Limoux well and how exceptional a commander he was, being the former marshal of the realm. Talking with many advisors and locals which knew the land well he finally realized the best and most audacious plan.

In the heart of winter during a raging blizzard they attacked. Why during such a dangerous time? Well simply to be able to reach the walls before the enemy could realize they were being attacked, none would have thought to look to the defenses in such a storm. Though it was confusing beyond belief the units followed their specific orders for they could not rely on seeing what the other units were up to, such as retreating while on the cusp of victory. What few guardsmen at the gate there were had soon been dealt with by the dragon riders who quickly shattered the wooden gate and bulwark from the rear allowing the infantry to move in. It took some time for the garrison to realize what was happening and by then the barracks had already been attacked with many being forced to surrender. Those who didn't gave it their all killing any human shape they could find in the dense blizzard.

Oddly enough without the snow storm obscuring their vision the troops most likely would have retreated as King Fralupi was dealt a serious injury by a stray arrow hitting him in the shoulder whilst he was atop his dragon. The battle raged on though and the entire garrison was eradicated leaving none to oppose the occupation of the town. As always as few of the civilian population was hurt as possible once occupied as per Fralupi's orders. When he asked to see the Count of Limoux he was brought to a ruined cobbler's shop. Ruined because a dragon with a large sword embedded into its neck had fallen onto it. It could be seen that partially underneath the dragon was its rider who was crushed by the fall. Impaled on an iron grate fence in the back of the shop was the Count of Limoux in nothing but his knickers having jumped onto the dragon from some high point and killed it. (+40 gold)(Valence Annexed)(Limoux Taken)(Injured)(-4HI, -9A, -1SU)(-27 gold, +20LI, +8A).

Plutonium95 - Oriana spent the season locked away ranting about invisible assassins. (+24 gold)

Rovsea - Gerald Iron-Hide came into fantastic luck this season as the town of Safi opened its gates to him capitulating fully to his terms. (+74 gold)(Safi Conquered)

Zex - Nothing is heard of Dalius Blackmaw (-5 gold).

Deadlands Theatre

The platoon that took Netra now marches straight on to Castle Blacmaw which is now in total disarray thanks to the poor economy. The castle was expected to fall quickly with the platoon's 2.5/1 ratio on its defenders, but they neglected to account for the fact that said castle was in a defensible area. The attack was a total failure with none of the defenders dying as the platoon had to flee after the first barrage of mounted ballistae. The force in Val'Knoser though reinforce the siege at Ostrava and just in time, for the defenders assaulted their basecamp to break the siege. Though this was a failure seventeen of the 59 siegers were killed. Yet again if not for the timely arrival of the reinforcements the siege would have been broken. (- 20 LI)(Ostrava: -6 Garrison).

The worse news for Dalius came from the South though. Traditionally used to staying relatively out of the way of the political affairs of the Dead Lands it would seem the economic tolls Dalius' over expenditure caused have brought the ire of Charon's Echelon. With the 12 Peers driven out of the region for the time being they have moved in force onto the several small settlements in the region and even begun asking for others to join them. This has outraged many in the region especially those in power but it would seem that the Echeloneans are tired of simply observing the goings ons of the Dead Lands and only stepping in to hold off invaders and hordes of mindless ones. What this could mean for the rest of the region no one knows for certain.

Ragusa was the first to fall the chaos cultist of the village, living and willful undead, put up a spectacular fight. Sadly they soon succumbed to the vast numbers arrayed against them. Many thought that they would move north and take Castle Blackmaw, perhaps as another training site for their school of Scholomance. Instead they mover along the inner curve of the lower Sabine river and took Vlora. Similar losses were suffered here but once it was done they simply gave partitioned the land giving a large chunk back to their loyal subjects in the region, the Gollic Drows, and allowing the former subjects of Blackmaw to live as they had. It is unsure why Commander Darion did this but it is speculated it was to cut off Nuram'hud'sicel'vitaum Fenetarkil XIII from the Suebon province which might be the area the Commaner Darion aims to take full ownership of. As snow sprinkled the open grass and farmlands of the Troyes province many people turned their heads to watch as a massive army bearing a familiar standard marched through it. The banner had twelve swords pointing inward to a cross. They marched as a well oiled machine, and like a machine were covered in metal. They made their way to the outskirts of Troyes with both Duke Dorian of Rueon, Lord of Sichamps, and the Duke of Troyes were unsure what to make of this occurrence. Grandmaster Coron Glyndwr himself, named the Savior for being the one to lead the remaining coalition forces out of the Dead Lands after the Battle of the Moorland. Now he stood with an army of 6530 veteran soldiers an equal distance between the town of Troyes and the siege camp of Duke Dorian. A simple offer is made to both, "whoever joins me shall live and prosper."

Suvut Sisask Astrid marched through the grass wastes of the outlands. Not but fifteen miles south of her was the coast with trade ships landing all over, and many being a part of the North Sea Trade company, another head of the hydra her order faced. She had to make a serious choice go back and fight the 12 Peers for a an ally that was long dead now, or fall back to the Dead Lands. Astrid spoke with her fellow deth knights long and hard about what to do but finally a decision was made. Marching into South Tangiers she forcefully captured South Tangiers and through some incredible stroke of luck convinced North Tangiers to join her, uniting the divided city. Now the Echelon had a base of operations along the Zaghreban River which was a gateway into the Montenegro Mountains of the Dead Lands, and into Urok. (-3 LI)(Ss. Tangiers Conquered)(N. 3. pact [Rovsea and DeMarchese gain +5 gold for each settlement for 3 turns] (Once complete the gold income will decrease by 1 every turn until it hits zero nullifying the trade treaty)
  4. North Trade Deal (+2 gold every settlement for 13 turns for Galren, and Mikkel Glahder.)(0 Gold for Alexander23)[Once timer runs out the revenue per turn will decrease by 1 until hitting zero].
  5. Trade of the Three (+6 gold all settlements for 1 turns for Bisquix, Gorganslayers and Dutchguy)(Once complete the gold income will decrease by 1 every turn until it hits zero nullifying the trade treaty)
  6. Alliance of the Faithful. (+3 gold every settlement for 1 turns Gorganslayer)(+3 gold every settlement 5 turns Dutchguy)(0 gold every settlement for DeMarchese)
(+3 gold every settlement for 18 turns for DutchGuy, and 12 Peers).
  8. Deadland-Franconia Trade Treaty (+6 gold every settlement for 10 turns Galren and Aedan777)
  9. With greater and greater pressure on the Dead Lands economy Commander Darion offers compensation for his loyal followers in Redwyne Castle by bringing in trade from the Hilldwarfs in the far western mountains of the Dead Lands and the Urak-Hai of Warfist. Everyone else though still suffers from the poor economy. (-5 gold every settlement for Zex)(-2 gold every settlement in Dead Lands)(Nullified if Affiliated with Charon's Echelon).
  10. Relief efforts from the clerical arm of the 12 Peers are sent down into Latmium in order to help those in need from the drought. They however seem to prioritize the places affiliated to the 12 Peers though. (+1 gold every settlement in Latmium if affiliated with 12 Peers).
  11. The Elbauthinean tribe that had previously spent the season attacking travelers passing between Castlemartin and Bram have for some reason become more picky. It would appear that they now only attack those known for certain to be members of Charon's Echelon, or those which can be proven, even with a considerable shadow of doubt. This is a relief for those who do not associate with the death knights but for those who do it is a serious issue. (Cannot travel from Bram, Ealdholm into Castlemartin, Wilderana if affiliated with Charon's Echelon).
  12. It is becoming abundantly clear that whatever dark pact that was made between the warlocks and witchunters was not in the interest of Almania. Bands of these creatins have been seen working together as whole units, undermining the integrity of the Teifling states. What was a nuiscance in resource depleted Aqtobe has spread like wildfire across most of the region. Is there anything that could stop this? (Bojnurd, Navoiy, Aqtobe, Allyrau, Zhamabyl, Mashad, Omnigovi -3 gold every settlement, -2 turns of siege every settlement).
  13. Apparently there is as bands of surplus death knights have been sent over into the provinces of Qyzylorda and Astana to halt the flow of these people in order to protect their allies. (+3 turns of siege to all settlements in Qyzylorda and Astana, Almania)

((We're officially in part two of the overarching story at this point I'll make something more official looking later in the week. For zex don't worry the echelon won't keep your lands if you accept their terms to become an affiliate, if you ignore that than yes they get rid of you. As you can all see this second part of the game is going to involve a lot more interaction and meddling from the NPCs. It won't be too brutal of course considering how you can't all stand alone against any of them much less both if your unaffiliated. The other two parts of the big overarching story though will be rougher)).

Fralupi sat in his camp while a doctor was treating his wound, with the blizzard still raging outside, Fralupi wondered if he would ever get a chance to see his troops again. Kilpr, his dragon roared so the earth began to shake. His brother stepped inside and looked at him with a smile. Unhurt as always, he said: "I see your shoulder is doing... well. Anyway, I am here, brother to inform you that the county of Limoux is now yours. I must say that that that blizzard you chose to attack on made me and my dragons magic very cold. Ever heard a man freeze to death even though you pour fire onto him?" Fralupi gave him a steel gaze and rose looking at his brother and finally said: "I haven't and I don't wish too. Neither should you." "I don't have any wish to hear it again, it is horrible, very horrible." He responded. "By the way, I got into contact with our beloved sister and your wife is... missing you. Of course that depends on how you chose to interpret it." "I am on a campaign doesn't she know?" Fralupi answered. "You have been for quite a while. But you need rest... especially with that grim wound...." His brother responded and disappeared.

A messenger arrives at the siege camp of Duke Dorian. The man is dressed in studded jerkin, he has a long dagger and short sword strapped to him. He has scruffy hair and a well groomed goatee and mustache. He hands his weapons to the guards before entering the camp and moves forward carrying a banner. On it were the twelve swords pointing inward at a cross, a symbol of the original twelve peers. The man walked before Duke Dorian who was receiving him. He planted the banner firmly in the ground and as it waved in the wind he pulled out a piece of parchment carrying the seal of the grandmaster, a noble lion's head. "I am Ambassader Faeros du bran of the 12 Peers. I bring you word from the grandmaster himself and humbly offer it to you." He walked closer went to one knee and had his head lowered ,almost parallel to the ground, as he offered the parchment to the duke.

I am not one for words Duke Dorian so I shall make this quick. I have a large army nearby and I could crush both you and that bastard duke of Troyes who already killed the messenger I sent him; he'll be dealt with. I don't seek to annihilate you nor do I seek to enslave you to the order's will. I just want you to become an affiliate to us, so when the time comes to finally march onto Chaorn's Echelon once again you will be there.

1. Duke Dorian of Sichamps will become and affiliate of the 12 Peers.
2. Duke Dorian promises to be a belligerent toward Charon's Echelon and their affiliates.
3. 200 gold will be gifted to Duke Dorian's treasury, knowing that this will have him lose a trade partner.
4. The twelve peers shall assist Duke Dorian if ever in conflict with Charon's Echelon or one of their affiliates.
5. The twelve peers shall take the town of Troyes and the City of Bran for Duke Dorian as a sign of trust.

3. We shall return lands lost to you fighting against us and Nuram'hud'sicel'vitaum Fenetarkil XIII.
