			<description><![CDATA[There's been a lot of nifty idea thrown out for TOG, but one I haven't seen mentioned?

The North Sea Empire, aka the Anglo-Scandinavian Empire, which is the historical name given to the realm that existed for just under twenty years in the early 1000s.  I'd personally love to see the ability to form this union ourselves in TOG (and without the pesky need to conquer even more of Britannia or Scandinavia and "pretend" to have a similar empire, or modding for that matter), and then try to one up Cnut the Great by keeping it together.

The requirements would be the only tricky part, as it's split between a pair of "de jure" empires.  Maybe the ruler would have to be king of Denmark, Norway, and England at the same time... maybe of Old Norse culture?]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[I have a question regarding national ideas. In EU3 Scotland or Ireland could form Great Britain. It has been mentioned in a Dev Diary that Burgundy will often become the Netherlands. My question is this.

If Scotland becomes Great Britain or Burgundy becomes the Netherlands. What happens with the national ideas? Do you keep Burgundian/Scottish National ideas or do you swap to Dutch/English Ideas?

I personally like the idea of a Great Britain whose National Ideas are Scottish instead of English because you could move Britain's history in a very different direction such as becoming a Land Power in Europe.]]></description>

I found a game again, which I had heard about in my childhood, about Finnish pagans surviving in a world based on the 800-1000 era. 			<description><![CDATA[World Conquest can be very time intensive, and go to pop very fast. So, I need to level up my experience on a few mechanics. Can we brainstorm how to better conquer the world here?

Eligible Nations:

UK
Germany (As Prussia or Austria)
France
Russia?
China
USA?
Japan
Gran Colombia

First moves:

Need MANY troops to keep containment wars down. Java, China, Germany, India, all good targets. Soldier NF.

Canned Food, Artillery, Luxury Clothes, etc, priorities for factories. 

Take Uncivs near corners of Africa to set up for colonial conquest later. Build Lots of naval bases, to avoid fighting for colonies later.


Later Moves:
Russia weakens over time significantly. Except for the Ukraine region for troops, they can wait till late game to conquer.

USA, especially if CSA/Mexico don't crumble, weakens. Otherwise, try to invade via South America or Canada, since amphibious landings will not give you enough troops.

Navy - is it worth it to have one, minus blockade schemes against UK / Japan / Ottomons?

Techs: Focus on Military techs first, or medecine / industry while taking on weaker nations before containments?Or to shoot into Diplopoint regeneration?

Diplomatics Points - waste as few as possible. When able, fight vs big alliances / Take the "wrong" side of a crisis and peace against individuals.

JINGOISM, the biggest problem: Fight another nation, loose empty provinces with cores to gain revanchism, wait till late game to gain back cores. Keep Nationalists in power.

Reforms - Drive EDU / Medical reforms while keeping others at a minimum.

Taxes - Keep low in late game to avoid Anarcho-Liberal revolutions due to not meeting life needs.
Temperence league - never take +Mil modifiers over time to endgame.]]></description>

As some of you know, arkhometha, previous developer, stop working on new a version for Modern Age Mod, as he states here (http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?649353-Modern-Age-Mod-A-Mod-for-Victoria-2&p=15497476&viewfull=1#post15497476), so I plan to take over his project if nobody opposes me doing so. Borrowing from his description of the mod:

"The objective of this mod is to put a Modern World Scenario and do a total conversion of Victoria 2 to this world. Originally, it is set to begin in 1992 and I plan make world population, events, technologies, and all I can do as historically as possible, using real world data."

At this first stage (I haven't been developing it for more than a day) I can release a running version for HoD v3.02b, just so you can see it for yourselves and play, though I won't call it an update for HoD proper because of the massive amounts of bugs which I have to correct.

As some of you know, arkhometha, previous developer, stop working on new a version for Modern Age Mod, as he states <a href="http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?649353-Modern-Age-Mod-A-Mod-for-Victoria-2&amp;p=15497476&amp;viewfull=1#post15497476" target="_blank">here</a>, so I plan to take over his project if nobody opposes me doing so. Borrowing from his description of the mod:<br />

&quot;The objective of this mod is to put a Modern World Scenario and do a total conversion of Victoria 2 to this world. Originally, it is set to begin in 1992 and I plan make world population, events, technologies, and all I can do as historically as possible, using real world data.&quot;<br />

At this first stage (I haven't been developing it for more than a day) I can release a running version for HoD v3.02b, just so you can see it for yourselves and play, though I won't call it an update for HoD proper because of the massive amounts of bugs which I have to correct.<br />
