After reading through my semi-abandoned alt-hist-cold war AAR "The III Reich in WWIII" I suddenly felt inspiration return and started to rethink where I was going to take it. To be frank, I was a bit underwhelmed with the way I was going to have the story develop (which was I came to abandon it in the first place), but I have now completely rethought the course of this future history. What comes next is much, much better.

As many of you may now, my mother was diagnosticised with cancer in 2006 and had palliative surgery that allowed her another good two years. In november 2008 she suffered a complication that sent her urgently back to hospital and another, unfortunately fruitless surgical intervention.
